I pretty much grew up on Chicago VIII and Chicago IX (The greatest hits album)!

The last couple of days I've been spinning II and VII... I almost forgot how great this band is.

 

First album is also a treasure. II has so many great songs and movements.

I was never his biggest fan but Ted Nugent was my very first rock concert back in 1980, and since then he's done nothing but sour my impression of him.

I'm disappointed that the band that made incredible music for 11 years and 9 studio and concert albums would decide to go completely to crap after that, and continue producing crap for the next 25 years. I'm looking at you, Bono.

 

My impression is this happens a lot with successful bands. After they make it big they think they have to be the world's social/political conscience.

That's what turns me off. If I want to listen to political crap, I'll go to that rally. If I want to hear music, that's what I want, however I do realize that it crosses over at times but if the music is nothing but, I can do without it.

Yea I love the first one. I have a original first pressing in near mint condition. Sounds great.

I love spinning some of those old Chicago albums. Great band indeed! AD, did you happen to catch Chicago in Richmond when they performed at the EKU Center for the Arts? BTW, BOSTON is performing there this Thursday.

To be honest I can't name one single of his past "Wango Tango", and the only thing that he has released since that I can name is his cookbook "Kill It and Grill It".

 

When jamming out to "Cat Scratch Fever" I never knew or cared about his political stance, but in hindsight I guess it's not a terrible surprise.

Yep same age same tour same bands different city. I remember he came out wearing camouflage pants no shirt with suspenders. The encore is when he was wearing a loin cloth swinging across the stage like Tarzan on a rope jamming on free for all.
