So what is Hillary's crime? If she is found guilty of everything she is accused of, what could she be charged with? People seem to believe she is going to jail or forced out of the race. Is that true? Here are my thoughts.

 

The worst offenses I have seen Hillary accused of look to be not following proper procedure in setting up her email and some seem to believe she is lying to investigators. Let me look at each of these and possible outcomes.

 

1. Improperly setting up home email - The big concern here is she did not follow procedure and that created a security risk. Assume that is true. General Petraeus actually handed classified information to someone and he pled guilty to a misdemeanor and incurred a fine. At its very worst claim, I don't think Hillary's offense is as severe as what Petraeus did. She did not overtly disclose classified information. There is even debate whether classified information passed through her email server. If it did, it still was not purposely disclosed. Looking at those facts, I don't see any way Hillary is guilty of anything more than a misdemeanor.

 

2. Lying to investigators - There is more potential for a serious offense here. However, I would be shocked if Hillary made any statements that are obvious lies. She is skirting the edge of truth, perhaps being vague, etc. I think it highly unlikely she flat out lied. (I am sure many readers will jump all over that statement.) It appears she is being cooperative with investigators. She has appeared at Congress and answered questions. If she is not clearly lying or obstructing, what can she be found guilty of? If she were a member of Congress, she would be censured or reprimanded and go to work the next day.

 

I am sure many partisans will argue against the above. It doesn't fit the agenda, or the hope. I am sure we will still see daily threads screaming hang Hillary. Based on the above, I feel those hopes are overboard. I am just trying to lay out a clear unbiased view of the facts. In my view, the whole email story will be much ado about very little when it is all said and done. Then we will have to read daily threads about how Hillary is above the law.

The first would result in a slap on the wrist if found guilty, the later are much more serious.

It's not a scandal. She did break the law by not using a properly secured server and allowing her blackberry to be hacked by numerous groups. She put a lot of people at risk and for all we know that resulted in deaths.

 

As for the Clinton Foundation. She sold America for money.

This is a stretch but how do we know that she did not set up the server and put classified material on it so it could be hacked. The clinton foundation gets money from alot of questionable countries. Is this a way of selling top serets with some deniability?

Benghazi isn't a scandal either. It's a fact she lied about the reason as they later admitte it wasn't a video.

She lied to the parents of the dead Americans.

Libya was her baby and she let those Americans get killed there, for what. Her ignorance or arrogance got them killed.

I wouldn't say worse just yet. The amount of information she has leaked and on what subjects and who ultimately was able to hack that info is soon to be discovered. Somebody or a few involved will be given immunity deals and the flood gates will open. They may find themselves on the Clinton death list though.
