April 27, 201610 yr Author I got a feeling that the next UK Coach will be someone that hasn't been named in this thread so far. I wouldn't argue this at all, probably right. I started it to see who, if in that position, would bgp'rs pick. Call it"off season fun, boredom, or both.
April 28, 201610 yr Brad Stevens isn't leaving Boston. He's got the "UK" job of pro basketball. Bill Self? Pass. Two final fours in 12 years. There may be a few names on the list, but Sean Miller is the guy unless he winds up at UNC or Duke first. Interesting that you say don't say pass on Miller since he has made zero final fours.
May 3, 201610 yr Brad Stevens would have to think very long and hard about turning down the offer....think he would come IMO
May 3, 201610 yr Brad Stevens would have to think very long and hard about turning down the offer....think he would come IMO It would take Brad Stevens as long as it takes me to type out this post to turn it down. No one is going to walk away from the Celtics to coach in college. Just won't happen.

Don't completely agree. Lets assume Cal does stay at least two or three more years. That would have given Stevens what 6 years in the NBA? I think it would depend on exactly how his Celtics teams are. Obviously he done a very good job considering he has no true star on the team, and yet has them competitive and in the playoffs. If in two or three years if they still don't really have a star player, and still sitting around as a competitive team that is around the 4 seed every year. Then I could see him possibly wanting the change realizing he is not going to win a Championship in the NBA with them. Plus with him then having 6 years of the NBA already, I could see him possibly leaving then to take the UK job. Lets not forget the UK job is very much like a NBA job with the pressure of the job, the amount of fans, and the star power that comes with being the coach. If Cal left today, then no I don't think he thinks about it for a second like you said. However if its 2 or 3 years from now and his Celtics are still not a real threat to win the title then yes I could see him at least seriously considering it.
May 3, 201610 yr Karl Hess would be my first choice right ahead of Roger Ayers and Doug Sirmons, that would be the dream team as they know it all about the round ball!
