I've made mistakes in my life, one of my biggest was following lockstep with the liberal ideology and victimhood mentality that was prevalent when I was in college and that modern liberalism seems to espouse. Luckily I grew up. I'm still a liberal in recovery, some days I struggle but most days not so much.

It would be so easy to go for the low-hanging fruit here. There is an entire section of the book called "In Their Own Words" of quotes by conservatives that range from the stunningly stupid to the truly sad.

 

But as I'm not a conservative nor do I have any clue as to the conservative thought process, I will continue to post from (all but the last chapter of) the book in this thread, and stay out of (not post, at any rate - my moderator duties require that I visit on occasion:lol2:) the "what conservatives believe" thread.
