Especially when you take into account that during that same speech he specifically spoke on republican economic policy as well as republican obstruction. All of a sudden he can't clarify himself until AFTER he crapped on Obama's legacy and he's called on it? :lol2: Whatever. Bill is naive and incapable of saying exactly what he means after decades and decades of being in politics? He knew exactly what he was saying. This is called pandering for votes except he is pandering for those folks that don't want to vote for Trump but still are disappointed in Obama. Bill ain't stupid and he still has his faculties right now as well. If he's too stupid to not be specific then they should get his sorry tail off the campaign trail now shouldn't they? If your interpretation of the gaffe is correct, then this would have been a huge story on every news site, under the headline: "Bill Clinton turns on Obama." But since that ain't happening, it's clear that Bill was referring to Mitch and his just-say-no gang. As I said before, Bill must set up his comments better when he speaks without notes. It's also worth pointing out that (a) Hillary has been campaigning on the theme of continuing Obama's road map for America and (b) stories have appeared recently that Obama plans to take an active role in campaigning for the Democrat Party in the fall, a ticket that most likely will be led by Hillary Clinton. So why on earth would Bill take a big swipe at Obama? Makes no sense.

I watched the speech and the explanation just doesn't make sense. He talked about republican obstruction specifically in the speech. The GOP wasn't in position to obstruct the entire presidency. It just doesn't fly.

March 22, 201610 yr The update at end of USA Today article says Bill Clinton's reference was to GOP obstructionism that began in '08. Politico article says same. Still, Bill needs to speak with more specificity. Daggone it. I knew it was too good to be true. I just knew there was some unknown reason why we misunderstood the statement. Probably the same as when we misunderstood the meaning of "is". :confused:
