Isn't South Warren 5a this yr

 

South begins their 5A journey in the 2017 Campaign.

Oddly enough, there are no 3A football schools in NKY. Unless you count Pendleton County, or unless there has been redistricting that I don't know about. Me not knowing about something is always a distinct possibility.

 

Pendleton County is independent and not eligible for the playoffs. 10 games max each year.

1A- Russellville

2A- Mayfield

3A- Belfry

4A- South Warren

5A- Bowling Green

6A- Trinity

When does this start? I know they were in a district this past season.

My apologies. For the 2013 and 2014 season they were non-district/non-playoff eligible as they opted out of district play. I did not realize they went back into a district this past season.

1A- Beechwood

2A- Mayfield

3A- Belfry

5A- Bowling Green

This year will be the best year for someone other than Beechwood to come out of the west. Russellville brings the most senior talent back and speed to burn so I think the west is the two teams from the west. The east favorite is defending champs Pikeville but district rival Hazard returns all but 1 on offense and defense returns 7 so they will be in excellent shape. Paintsville and Raceland will also be in the mix. I do have a dark horse in the east and that's Nicholas County.

Who all does South Warren return next season from the 2015 team?

On offense QB Litten, RB Namvong along with Zack Hynes TE and WR CJ Hayes, Also Frosh Jacob Lacey who played on defense line. Are the big returning players for South.
