Congrats to NCC on the win and moving to the next round.

 

We will never know how this plays out if Cooper was at full strength. I don't feel that they completely "dominated", or "handled" them. In all honesty, I don't think you saw a good game from either team last night. Cooper had an ugly first half, settling for too many jump shots. They did much better once they started driving to the basket in the second half. NCC had an ugly 3rd quarter and let Cooper get back in the game, the three from Weyer at the end of the quarter was huge.

 

Saying Weyer was too much on the boards is also a stretch, with the size advantage he had, I would have expected him to control the inside.... he did not.

Weyer had a ton of rebounds and guarded the rim well. This all leads to Cooper shooting from outside and missing. You have to give NCC credit for only allowing 9 points at half. Cooper couldn't even draw a foul brcause they were either blocked at the rim or kicked out for a 3.

Up 17 at half and winning by 14 or so is pretty dominant. They were up 20 for parts of the game.

 

Perhaps not pretty or flashy I'll agree but

 

It was a business-like performance.

Apparently you are arguing with yourself. Everyone that knows basketball, knows that this was at one point a game where NCC had some concern and not a dominating game for 32 minutes. I think so far, you are the only one to make that comment. Hmmm. But go ahead and have your opinion as we are allowed to do so

Your take on the game is like ordering a la carte, you are just picking out certain portions and not looking at the whole game.

 

I don't believe Weyer had a ton of rebounds, don't have the numbers to back up this claim but I do not remember him dominating the glass as you claim. I'm thinking a "ton" would be like 18-20.

 

In the first half, Cooper shot mostly from the outside, drives to the basket were minimal. Weyer guarding the rim well is not an accurate statement. Check the game thread for the second half and make note of the times that they finished at the rim, or over Weyer, then remember that some of these players are barely 6 feet tall.... and maybe not even that.

 

When I think business-like, I am looking for efficient or systematic.... neither team could make this claim last night.

 

NCC got the win last night and that is all that really matters this time of the year, I just don't get why you keep trying to make the victory something that it wasn't.
