16th Region Preview 2016

Give us your rankings and thoughts on the 2016 16th Region. Please be constructive.

I think West, Greenup, Boyd, and Ashland would be top 4 with East, Rowan, Russell, and Lewis in the next tier.

Greenup returns all from a final four team and West returns nearly everyone from a regional semi-finalist and have a true #1 arm. Everyone else will be searching for arms and consistency.

1- Greenup Co

2- East Carter

3-West Carter

4- Russell

5- Boyd Co

Greenup returns all, plus #1 pitcher is healthy. After not pitching any post season games. Greenup is by far the pre-season #1 , but repeating is tuff .

East Carter played Greenup as well , as anybody did last season. If East can find some consistent pitching , could have a really nice season.

West Carter has the top pitcher in 16th in Ben Jordan, he is also one of the top in the state. Giving West a chance in any game, run support and a #2- #3 pitcher will be what West needs to make a run.

Russell returns more than a few, after making Regional final last season. Could be a top team again. Pitching is also a factor , for Russell to make the region final again.

The 16th has a bunch of talent , should make for some great baseball this year. Hopefully has a team make a run , for a State Title again.

West Carter is my pick. Ben Jordan and Kaden Rose lead a very talented junior class.

If not them I'll take Greenup, but with that junior class West could be looking at the region finals the next two years. Problem for them is Jordan can't pitch every game.

Is Cam gonna be healthy enough for baseball this season at East?

I wouldn't think so usually an Achilles tear like Cameron's is 6-8 months.

He's looking at Late April or early May according to doctors.

Greenup has to be the favorite based on last season and overall talent and coaching. Respect is earned, not given. West does have 3 really nice players in Jordan, Brown, and Johnson.

That's what I meant, was that Greenup is the favorite. West is just my pick
