I am pulling for Diaz, too. First, he's American. Second, Conner MacGregor has a BIG mouth. He disrespects everyone he fights. He's so busy praising himself as being more invincible than Superman I just want to see someone shut him up.

The Diaz brothers talk trash too. BUt they usually do it to the other fighter and in the ring during the fight. They don't seem so desperate to build themselves up in the public eye as MacGregor does. As Cowboy said, the Diaz brothers are always the same way--in public or in private, on the street or in the ring. They really don't give a rip what you think. MacGregor needs to be taken down a peg or two. If he keeps going up in weight class, he's going to get himself in trouble.

Unfortunately for Diaz, he had to take this fight at a late date and didn't have opportunity to go through a proper training camp like MacGregor has. He hasn't had opportunity to do a lot of sparring and step in the ring with guys who mimic (to some degree) Connor's style. This lack of opportunity to get himself ready is a huge disadvantage for Diaz. It's too bad he didn't get the call to fight MacGregor in a timely fashion so he could truly be at his best.

McGregor was supposed to fight at 155, not 170 and he's had the same amount of time to prepare for Diaz as Diaz has for him.

Nordine Taleb def. Erick Silva via KO (Punch) R2

Has a great chance to be the knockout of the night.

McGregor was supposed to fight at 155, not 170 and he's had the same amount of time to prepare for Diaz as Diaz has for him.

McGregor was in training camp for a long time to fight dos Anjos, then he switched his training camp to fight Diaz. This is a minor adjustment. Diaz was not in training camp because he wasn't set to fight anybody. Suddenly he is thrown into a fight and he doesn't have time to set up much of a training camp at all. This is a huge advantage for McGregor.

The reason the fight is at 170 is because no way could Diaz cut the weight with such short notice. McGregor had to give in to this. Advantage to Diaz, I guess, except that he may be carrying more weight than he normally would and be slightly out of shape. No way does a fighter have the advantage who was not expecting to fight and is suddenly thrown into the fight. Though they "always" train, there is a difference between working on your game and training to go five rounds in an MMA fight.

This gives Connor the advantage. It just does. Diaz is not complaining. He is happy for the opportunity and the pay check. It will be interesting to see if Connor's shots have as big an effect on the larger fighter.

You are preparing for the excuses before Diaz even fights lol

He is in shape and ready to go.

I like the Diaz brothers. They're entertaining. I like McGregor also.

I look forward to the fight.

How many more fights before Holm? 2?

I just know how difficult it is to step into a ring mano y mano and how important preparation is. Talk doesn't get the job done, training does. One would like to see both fighters at their peak.

Unfortunately, I won't get to see it until sometime later when the video gets posted to youtube.

Diaz has the advantage. These guys train so hard that suffer injuries training before a fight. I think Diaz will win but I won't be surprised if McGregor wins.
