March 7, 201610 yr Agree. And as you mentioned, an underrated point in all of this is the scar tissue on Diaz eye brow. He cuts so easily and bleeds in almost every fight, so all the people talking about all the damage Connor did seems to forget this point. As far as handling the shots, Nick didn't seem rattled the entire fight, McGregor landed some solid shots but none of them put Nick in danger. AND, as far as Nick goes, the damage looked a lot worst than it actually was (although McGregor did land a few nice shots). If crazy Nick kept his hands up a little bit maybe he wouldn't take so money shots in the face. Obviously he doesn't mind getting hit in the noggin. I love the Diaz brothers!!!!
March 8, 201610 yr The owner of our gym made a solid point regarding McGregor going up so much. For 2 weeks, he ate a ton of steak to get to 170, ultimately only bring able to get to 168. It may have contributed to his gassing so quickly. He looked slow from the get go. He said that he tells his pro guys to stay away from red meat 2 weeks out. The digestion is too demanding. I never thought of that before. This would probably be a better bout at 155. However, if that is what McGregor's ground defense is like when he is tired, it doesn't matter what they fight at.

Great point. Definitely needs to work on his ground defense. Just looked at my last post. It says money shots in the face instead of many. That was a real bad mis print....Lol!!!!!
March 8, 201610 yr  I think McGregor would actually agree with you. Those usually are his money shots.
March 8, 201610 yr I don't know if anyone has already mentioned this but dos Anjos DOMINATED Diaz in their bout Dec. 2014. And look at the list of guys dos Anjos has beaten. McGregor better stay at 145.
