Gallup Poll shows Big Problems for Dems

Featured Replies

And Texas alone can offset New Mexico, Wisconsin, Nevada, Washington and Oregon. So...

So ... Texas is the only large-population state in the GOP camp. Therein lies the Republicans' quandary.

You say twin dim wits ? forget it , I'm sorry I misread your post . Carry on.

You beat me to my quip. I was going to thank SF for his vote of confidence, and then point out that you, RTS, et al. would add "nit" before "wit."

And to affirm, the article points out:

"The 20 states that Gallup classifies as solidly Republican or leaning Republican account for 152 electoral votes, less than the 187 accounted for by the 14 solidly or leaning Democratic states plus the heavily Democratic District of Columbia."

It basically comes down to Florida, Pennsylvania, and either Ohio or Michigan+Wisconsin for the Democrats to get to 270.

I believe George Will within the past year or so lamented that the starting Dem advantage is somewhere in the neighborhood of 246 electoral votes, which means that just 24 more are needed to secure the presidency.

Serious question...could Trump win New York? I have no idea. I know none of the other R's could but wonder if Trump would actually have a shot in his home state...

I think Trump will move to the middle after the primary and he has a shot at New York. I'm not sure what else he could say that made him any more of a political platypus. He rails against the Iraq War but wants to build a wall. He is a walking contradiction.

Just what this country deserves.:dancingpa

Not sure how that is contradictory. Many people were against the Iraq war but yet want a secure border.

There are Republicans that believe W l(i)ed us into the unjustified Iraq war and destabilized the entire region? I watched the town hall the other night , and there was some crowd members pretty hot over Trump's remarks.

It was the first time I've heard a Republican say those things.

Let him go, he's on a roll.

Hellcats I have asked this before, but as it looms even larger, what will you liberals do if Trump wins? I mean a few months ago it was unthinkable on here that Trump would even win the Republican nomination but thats looking more and more like its gonna happen. Now you ScienceFriction( who has declared it would never happen) and Twotoplace maintains no way he beats or any Republican beats Hillary( who by the way is in a struggle just to beat a Socialist)find yourself with some sweat popping out with Trump not going away. So again I pose the question, how much crow are you all gonna eat if he wins?
