35th District Tourney @ Beechwood

Featured Replies

You believe this Holmes team, when playing well, is better than this CovCath team? Interesting. The results of the last few months would fly in the face of that.

Hasn't Holmes shown their "potential" over the entire season?

One would think, which caused me to wonder about the wording of that post.

I hope its a great game that comes down to the wire. I wouldnt mind 2 OT's either....Best of luck to the Colonels/Dogs.

Both games in this Tourney are clearly the most anticipated all season.

Tuesday Feb 23 - 7:30

4 Holmes v 1 CovCath

Thursday Feb 25 - 7:30

3 Holy Cross v 2 Beechwood

Championship Saturday Feb 27 7:30

Winner Game 1 v Winner game 2

Tickets are limited as I was told! 300 for each school and about 150 sold at the door!

CovCath is ranked #1 in the state as well (If I saw correctly)

Who wins these district games and why?

I hope that the bold is correct, but I saw it the other way with HC the #2 and Beechwood the #3, which will just confuse the heck out of the scorekeepers.

Beechwood is the vistors thursday on their home court.

We all know BW will win Thursday, but......Would it be possible, should BW lose to HC on Thursday, that the Championship game be moved to Holmes for a larger venue? Would make sense.

My memory might be off here, but I was in Louisville in the late 90s and I remember a district game where Ballard was the 1 seed and played Waggener who was hosting districts and to avoid confusion, they made Ballard the away team. This has happened at a few other places too.

I doubt it but it would generate more dough.

Kudos to BW. Did a nice job hosting last night. Great environment. Great music. Cozy.

It was a nice practice for Thursday and Saturday which will have sold-out crowds.

I was thinking the same thing. The atmosphere was like a Regional Tourney crowd and feel.

They had an awesome concession area as well with Tacos, Pizza, Hot dogs, a bunch of stuff to eat. The Froyo went over well also.
