People throw the word beast around to loosely. I seen him play and yes he is a very good highschool player. Really good inside moves and good rebounder. But in most cases he is bigger than everybody on the court. What i consider to be beast is a player that is dropping 40,50 on teams consistently. Like the players going to UK and Duke. I dont see him being more than average at NKU because everybody is 6'9 or better underneath in Division 1.

But he's went up against people in AAU who are going to uk or duke & he still got a double double

Lots of bitterness in this post. Looking at the bios of the UK players, NONE of them averaged 40 or 50 points per game in high school. You are so very wrong about "everybody is 6-9 or better" in Division I. There are many outstanding 6-6, 6-7 types playing the post in Division I each year. You ever hear of Charles Barkley? He was only 6-5 and dominated the post at Auburn. You ever hear of Corliss Williamson? Maybe 6-6 and a beast inside at Arkansas. Paul Millsap at La. Tech, he was 6-6 1/2 and led the nation in rebounding and is an NBA all-star. Larry Johnson at UNLV was 6-6 and a dominate force who led his team to the national title. Please rethink your post.

I think people DID NOT understand the point of the Larry Bird thread. It compared HIGH SCHOOL Larry Bird, who was A LONG WAY from the NBA. Larry Bird did not even get chosen into preseason scrimmages at IU while he was there (I will find that article. The IU upperclassmen thought he was an OK player, nothing more while he was there). For some reason, people took it to mean the NBA Larry Bird. Look, I saw Larry Bird in high school. NO ONE thought he would ever see an NBA court. NO ONE. Many questioned whether he could even play at IU. HE DID NOT. He left for various reasons. Sorry I even started that thread.

I was not aware of that with Joe B. Hall. Thank you for the information! You have provided yet another example of why coaches at big schools many times completely overlook good players. Larry Bird was not fast or quick in high school. In fact, he wasn't fast or quick in college or the NBA either! He knew how to play the game, could shoot, and was very intense.

BTW: I am 6-8, or at least before my back began curving due to old age several years ago. I haven't been 5-7 since I was about in the second grade.

Yes you where name dropping so i went ahead and threw out the big fish. That is my opinion for now and i hope he does alot better than average because i love seeing young men achieve there goals. I actually am planning on going to some of NKU games next season.

I started this thread because personally I do not believe that there has been a player in this state that has the work mentally & attitude of Carson, I believe he will be the hardest workers on the court at all times! He does so much much! No body you can compare him to in Kentucky! There is only one Carson Williams! I would put him up against anyone! NKU gotta steal ...

 

Maybe most gifted kid who works hard. But there are a lot of kids out there who are not gifted but have to work twice as hard to even make a team or to compete. Very tired of people saying someone is the hardest worker on the planet.

And by the way, how do you know he is the hardest worker? See every other kid in their driveway or gym or doing push-ups in their bedroom?

To get back to the thread. I have figured out my one word to describe him

If he has perused through these threads the past few weeks my word would be...annoyed.
