oldgrappler Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Jim Brown of the Cleveland Browns turned 80 yrs old today. Here's a highlight video that includes some of his college days at Syracuse: Only RB to averageover 100 yards per game (104). He also averaged over 5.2 yards a carry. Phenomenal. He was also a TD machine--106 rushing, 20 receiving in his career of only 9 seasons.
MJAlltheWay24 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Could make a very similar thread, keep the same title even. MJ turns 53 today.
Mack The Knife Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Also the greatest lacrosse player of all time and averaged 15 ppg as a sophomore and 11 as Junior for the basketball team.
OlDog75 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 He told me, 'Make sure when anyone tackles you he remembers how much it hurts.' He lived by that philosophy and I always followed that advice. — John Mackey, 1999.
mcpapa Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Could make a very similar thread, keep the same title even. MJ turns 53 today. Yep. Talked about this on Mike and Mike at length this morning. GOAT in two sports share the same birthday. Greenie shares his birthday with Lucille Ball and Soleil (Punky Brewster) Moon Frye.
ggclfan Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Watching Jim Brown THROW the ball in some of Papa's highlight clips makes me wonder if he would be a QB if he came into the league now. He appeared to have a very nice arm. Talk about a duel threat!
