Bellevue should be NO: 12 not Highlands.

And Ludlow won the conference and defeated Bellevue twice. I think they both are undervalued.

Highlands moved up to #12 after a solid win over Lloyd.

My guess is if Bellevue and Highlands meet again in the district, we see a different outcome.

As for Ludlow, they have pretty much been over matched in any game they've played against a big school, including 4-21 Boone Co.

Bellevue should be NO: 12 not Highlands.

The one Stinker game of the year and you are ready to rank them higher? Look at body of work, not that its a prize to be 12th or anything. lol

Unfortunately they picked a bad time to play poorly! They draw Dayton and winner gets Breds. Bellevue gets a team minus a bunch of Wiggins. Put yourself in a coin flip and The house wins. I will say that the Birds return 3 juniors and soph that played significant minutes more often starts and you now have 3 basketball only's in the program. You will see improvement next year! Take that to the bank!

Sorry, while I like your enthusiasm, I just can't get behind what this team has coming back. Some ok players that haven't won anything. Nothing to really get jazzed about.

I mean, CovCath Football sure takes a lot of arrows from the HHS crowd when they mention the pipeline, why should it be any different here in reverse for basketball? When I see a LEGITIMATE improvement, meaning scheduling and beating good teams, then I will be a believer. For now, I have heard the pipeline story too many times. I just don't see them competing with the likes of CCH or NCC in the near future.

Time will tell I guess.

Love the guys that get on here and make cracks about other programs when theirs has won how many regional titles over the last how many years? Enjoy your enthusiasm for your Catholic brethren, but I would not use CCH and NCC in the same sentence if you get my drift.

Now carry on with the discussion boys and girls.

I think they fit perfectly into the same sentence when comparing them to Highlands Basketball. They are far superior.

Not sure why you have to bring religion into it. CCH and NCC are the two teams I root for. They happen to be Catholic schools but I have some SK in me as well by marriage. If you want my full bio I am happy to give it to you.

Read a little bit more and you might be enlightened. Just today I praised Qryche for his scathing review of HHS basketball. At least he had the stones to challenge his team for more and hopefully make them better. I applaud that.

Don't really need to now do I? I guess if you say you support both, you can jump on that CovCath bandwagon every year about the time the regional tourney starts so that you can say you support a winner. Easy for Q to make comments because his kid is long gone from the program. Always easy to sling hash when you have no skin in the game.

And for what it is worth, CovCath and NewCath are not in the same sentence or for that matter the same stratosphere when talking about where the basketball programs are currently. They are able to get players from Cincy and NCC has to rely on getting them from other Northern Kentucky communities.

Good luck in the tourney as I am sure at least one of your teams will make a nice run as they have done the last few years.

How about them "stones"

I don't know if I would call that comeback "stones"...but maybe for you it was. Thanks for wishing my teams good luck.

You're not really going to start something about CCH and NCC getting players from other communities are you? When HHS was a power the players were from all over. I really don't need to drop names, do I? But I digress.....

I have reasons to support both schools (I went to one, Son goes to other). I root for both football programs and soccer teams as well. Is that not allowed? I also like Brossart to so add another Catholic school in the mix.

I am not sure why you are so sore about whatever perceived comments or "Cracks" made about other schools. I have heard on here that the pipeline is loaded for HHS future but I disagree, only because I have heard it before and it hasn't panned out. Am I allowed that opinion?

When I see the future Birds beat some quality teams I will be a believer. Pretty simple and no "Crack" intended. Relax.

Very true....I sat on my hands during those years. :jump:

My post wasnt meant to be scathing but it was meant to state it should be as unacceptable for the basketball program to fail as it is the football program. I would just like to see the same sense of urgency by the powers to be.

Those kids are all great kids as well as athletes. They will go on to do great things after High School Sports.

I get where you were going with your quote and I loved it. Others remain thin skinned about such comments and take it personal when it doesn't need to be.

Hold on Jack your up and coming players Green and Posey both went to Catholic grade Schools, and not in FT.

Dont forget Nate Roberts :jump:

Yes a very good player in Nate.
