Huh? Okay. He dribbled to a spot and there was contact to stop him.

Just because there is contact doesn't mean there is a foul on the defense. Drives me crazy when offense creates the contact and the defense ends up with the foul.

If the defense puts a hand on the guy dribbling the ball it is a foul. I didn't make the rule changes but those are the rules. You can't call hand checking all of the time but not call fouls when there is contact. It shouldn't matter who initiates it. If there isn't a push off or a charge it's a foul on the defense and those are the garbage rules we have to live by these days.

Both coaches were right....He walked, and he was fouled. Not calling one doesn't excuse not calling the other, but it all evens out.

if Doug Sirmons had been there it would have been an 'and one' with a Tech on the UVA player for being in the path of a clearly superior offensive player.

Seriously. Refs decided they were putting the whistles away the last 6 seconds and let it play out. I disagree with that approach but he still travelled.

Good no call IMO. Let them play. If there is debate after what happened then how can you make that call during live action..

And he was still fouled.

The way Allen plays he puts refs in a tough spot every time. He is so great at attacking, and is always trying to create contact and is great at selling even the slightest contact. Which I think refs also know now that he also tries to sell fouls a lot, so there are times when he is legit fouled but they may not be called.

Which for the record I love the way he plays.
