What have they done to warrant an SEC gig for half the staff? Willing to give it a shot though. If he was hired as DC, I'd question it. As a DB coach he's a really strong hire. Kids on the team like him a lot and he's a strong recruiter. Can't blame a guy for taking a 6 figure raise to move down the ladder... :idunno:

May be or may not be, but it's the perception. Obviously a place like OSU or Texas is different, but not every job is.

Obviously a place like OSU or Texas is different, but not every job is. It's just one of the major ways the P5 schools are forcing the gap between them and the G5 as wide as possible. They can simply throw a lot more money around to the point where position coaches in the P5 are making 100K+ more than coordinators at even the top G5 schools...

February 22, 201610 yr What shot? He took a six figure raise to go from being a DC to being a DB position coach. Not often you get a raise for a "demotion"...

I've just seen all the campaigning Ono is doing and I think it's going to happen. Just want to make sure they will be able to swim in it. I hope it happens soon, I've advocated to the big Kroger suits in Tri County. Bring the B12 to Clifton!
