I will say this Beechwood in a few years will be as good as any team in the 9th region as long as the kids who are there stay put. The 7th, 8th and 9th grades have some serious talent. Mark it down!

Not by rule. Playing varsity as an 8th grader does not impact where you go to high school. Von Handorf played varsity for Villa as an 8th grader and then went to CCH.

 

However, it is pretty obvious that Jefferson would be starting varsity next year at Beechwood. If that is important to him, then playing now and performing like this in varsity at Beechwood is proof to him that will happen. No one else can guarantee him that.

I thought Fredrick played well in the second half. When he gets comfortable on offense, CovCath is difficult to stop.

Great points, Voice. All one has to do is look at the middle school pipeline for the Tigers and be very encouraged for the near future. Mr. Jefferson has the opportunity to be part of something special sooner than later. Now, if we can only build a solid pipeline on the girls side.

Pretty sure the Bat Signal went up and the message was: Get him in there now or he's hitting the road for sure after this school year. Trying to give themselves a fighting chance to hold on to him.

Known Caleb his whole life. A true competitor. Does everything a coach asks out of him. He is truly a winner on an off the court. Tremendous student athlete hands down.

I honestly hope he stays put only because Beechwood is an outstanding school district and he can be part of some really good teams coming up. It would be one thing if he was the only kid with talent but apparently they have some nice talent in that middle school.

 

He goes to NCC they will likely go 3 guard offense next year with Hall, Pangallo and Jefferson. That is VERY small. No Ben Weyer to hang your hat on either.
