I just wanted to say good luck and I hope it is the start of a good new football school here in the Northren Kentucky area. I belive they are only starting with a middle school team this year but will be upgrading to high school next year.

I may be wrong. But that's what my nephew's mascot is. He's at WV Elementary.

Program is in good hands with Coach Woody McMillan at the helm. Heres wishing you the very best Coach!

The varsity process is still three or four years away. From what I hear next year will be freshman team, then a JV, then varsity. So they have awhile to get the kids ready for the big time.

Has Walton-Verona ever had a football team? It seems like I've seen Walton (no Verona) listed in some old district standings, 1950s and 60s. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I kinda doubt that, I don't think they could've been big enough. They have always been a small school and just recently, in the last ten to fifteen years started experiencing a population boom . I would think if any thing maybe they did 8 man at best, but I even find that hard to believe.

I know back when I first went to Walton they told me that they use to have a football team back when it was 8 man. But then again they also told me there was a pool in the basement, so your guess is as good as mine.
