How is your teams punter/kicker in 2006

Featured Replies

Has he added any distance since last year? He was a decent kicker last year.

Not sure , I know he was looking for a good camp to go to this spring .If he did add some distance , he should be in for a good year !:thumb:

Thanks. I know he was a fairly accurate kicker from about 30 yards out, but I was never impressed with his accuracy and distance beyond that. However, he was young.

Cory Gilbert of Ludlow can kick a ball all the way to Covington.....Unfortunately he was facing towards Bromley...

He must have learned that from his big brother, Zach Hein!

I heard that 1st team all state punter from last year Ryan Tydlaca(sp) from Trinity is back and booming punts and kicks.

Andrew Bosscher @ St. X will be a true asset to our team. He was ranked in the top 10 at Notre Dame's camp this summer.

Russell has a returning kicker this year- Dwain Evans. His younger brother is the starting center on the freshman team. Dwain has competed in body building competitions and has placed well from what I hear. I have seen a picture at Norman's Locker Room of him. You dont see kickers who look like this. Tough kid and strong leg. will probably only kick extra points as Russell will have the combined talent of the LEWIS and CLARK expidition this year in the back field.

John Wright Polk will be doing most of the kicking and punting this year for the Jumpers. He has a great leg and pretty good accuracy to boot.

I was thinking that John Wright had graduated. Its good news to have him back, John is a very reliable kicker for the Jumpers.:thumb:

Jason Nicholson has been averaging 46 yds. per punt in practice. He also hit a 51 yd. field goal. Hopefully, Dunbar will not miss All-State Kicker Sean O'Brien. Nicholson is a 6-3 180 lb. Jr.

Let me make a correction to my earlier post Jimmy Roberts will do the XP's and Johnny Holbrook will do the kickoffs for Newport. While Junior Ryne Wilfong will take care of the punting duties for the Wildcats.

Edited on the height and weight.

This kid can kick punts now! Last year he was booming them in warmups and during the game. We called time out and made him kick into the wind during our game last season. He can kick a ball now...................... As for no punts I wouldn't say that now........LTW.

Matt Jennings from Trimble Co. is a pretty good place kicker, range good from about 48 yards. He also plays SE he is 6'5 190lbs.

Ryan Tydlacka at TRINITY is the real deal, we will be watching him Kicking the pig skin on Sundays in 5 years!

He will be doing all of the Kicking this year.
