I dont think Lebron wins anymore so I go with Steph.

By the end of the season in which they both turned 30 here is a comparison of "Mileage" on LeBron vs Kobe

 

Regular Season Games Played and Minutes

LBJ -Games 910 -Games Started 911 -Total Minutes 35,769

Kobe -Games 948 -Games Started 800 -Total Minutes 34,531

 

Playoff Games and Minutes

LBJ -Games 178 -Games Started 178 -Total Minutes 7,561

Kobe -Games 175 -Games Started 155 -Total Minutes 6,888

 

Looks like LBJ has a bit more mileage on him at this point in his career than did Kobe.

 

LBJ from the onset was playing a ton, Kobe it took some time. Not to mention both have many minutes for Team USA.

While I think LeBron does have a lot of miles on the body, I also don't think Curry's body will be able to hold up for as long as some are intimating he could. He is a slight guy, not sure he has a 15 year career in him.

 

I don't think the Cavs are going to win one any time soon, but I could see LeBron getting 1 more before he hangs it up. That would be 3.

 

I think Curry gets 2 more, one as a spot up shooter and complementary player down the road, and they both end up with 3 rings.

Can you imagine giving Pop a weapon like Steph, even if he was just a spot up shooter.

From age 22-30 Kobe played on Average 1 minute more per game. But as you said LBJ came into the league playing 39, 40 and 40minutes per game his first 3 seasons while Kobe played only 15, 26 and 38 minutes per game his first 3 years in the league.

 

LBJ has been "The Man" since day one in the league on every team he has played on...Kobe played 6 or 7 years before he had to become the "The Man"

 

My point with all of these comparison is that if Kobe started to break down, LBJ who by all accounts has had a rougher journey with more minutes and higher expectations will surely wear down and start dropping off soon also.

I get the feeling all that time LeBron spent working on a post game in Miami will serve him well as he goes from "The Guy" to "The Guy The Guy Leans On."

 

He'll benefit some from the league moving toward more perimeter-centric 4s who won't be able to handle his old man strength.

 

Basically I think LeBron is the superior version of K Love.

 

Steph intrigues me, because he's what I wish Iverson would have been, in that he shoots a lot without taking an overwhelming amount of contact.

 

He doesn't jump much which obviously bodes well for him (whatup Andre Miller) and should extend his career by 3-5 years beyond what is expected, whatever that may be.

 

My knock on him is that I don't know what he would be in a different organization/system, or without another top ten all time shooter, outside of a fantastic ball handler with the sweetest jumper of all time.

 

There's still a lot of story to write for Steph, so while I think LeBron will get to four or maybe five, Steph has a higher ceiling with the proper team.

 

I'll begrudgingly take Steph, although he won't be The Guy in titles #4-6 .

When Lebron's body breaks down he can go play a power forward. He could also switch teams again and go join Steph one day and be his Draymond Green. :lol2:

I think LeBron's "post" game is over-hyped. He is fine when he is being guarded by guys of similar height that he outweighs by 50 lbs, but he is not a back to the rim banger. Never has enjoyed it and frankly, he struggles with it. Some people act like he came out shooting sky hooks in Miami.
