Isn't that better for the democratic process than having one or 2 candidates that have fundamentally similar belief systems, and are pretty much the same candidate? If I'm a dem, it would be frustrating, to say the least, that my only two options were between hilldawg and Bernie.

 

The GOP will straighten itself out when the time comes, and the candidate that is chosen to represent the GOP will have faced countless opposition and be battle tested. On the other end of the spectrum, hilldawg is currently fighting to stay out of prison, and Bernie is trying to bring socialism to the US. Again, you can try to act like the GOP is in a worse position than the dems, but I strongly disagree. But, I guess you had already figured that.

TTP, I know you get the political math, unlike some on the opposite side. How does Trump pull it off? Unless no one shows up to vote, I don't see any mathematical way that Trump wins. Some of the things he has said that have made him #1 among the angry right has left him with a ceiling that is far too low to win the general. He will not come close to getting the minority vote numbers he has to have. Not even logarithms can pull this one out for the Trumpster. None of the math works unless people just stay home and that ain't happening(not in this election).

If it comes down to Trump V Hilldawg, I could actually see more people than usual staying away from the election booth. I think thats a terrible decision, and hope that that isnt't the case, but because you have two candidates that are pretty polarizing characters, I think you will have a portion of the on-the-fencers who just decide to say screw it and not vote.

Yes, I agree with you about some of those scenarios. I was referring to the almost certain scenario of a one-on-one matchup between Trump and Hillary. There is no way Trump gets enough Latino votes to win. Sorry Trump supporters, your guy just can't win if its one-on-one between him and Hillary. The math doesn't allow it. He will be lucky to get 15% of the Latino vote, no where close to what he will need. He can't win. It's over!!! You better hope for something unusual to happen, like Jeb or Rubio to run third party or Hillary to have a stroke or get sent to the pokey. If it's Trump v. Hillary , Trump can't win!
