HC goes to HHS and punches them in the face. The game plan against the

Birds is to get physical and until this Birds team decides to punch back, it will be more of the same for them. They are too nice and there are only a very few that fight back and play physical. They have two choices, finish out the season as is or decide they want to play physical and beat some tail. Unless they choose the latter, they are mediocre right now.

HC played great defense and followed the lead of a couple teams that have played the Birds well. McClendon is a threat on offense, but just causes Chaos on defense. So smart and quick on the defensive end. Tucker played well. Heck, I thought all the HC kids played well and played as a team. Gabbard hit a couple of very timely 3's and Chames did a great job on the boards.

HHS has to find themselves. Jansen out and Coffey played limited minutes coming back from a concussion, but that really very little effect on this outcome. HC just played better and HHS looks lost at times. They have cut the rotation some, but I think we may even see more of that coming down the road.

Nice win for HC. Birds...back to the drawing board. Still a long way to go!

Sounds like they need some muscle to move some girls around? I think the girls will bounce back and be very tough in the 9th tourney, because truly that's when it really matters. Good luck the rest of the season.

Might be last time this happens.......

I bite... What is "this"

Might be last time this happens.......

C'mon you make this statement and we get nothing and if RCC9 has an idea lets hear, we hear all your other ideas so let's hear another one. This isn't a knock just get it out there in the open.

I get some on here saying they will get it together and there is plenty of basketball left and I hope they do because there are girls on that team who have been in the program for quite a few years now and deserve that. But we are headed into the home stretch of the season and it can have another affect as well if your not playing well and something is missing you may not get it back, as it gets later in the season more pressure is added especially if your a senior and could cause panic and dissension on the team. I am not saying this is happening at all but its a possibility as we the weeks go by.

So is the opinion that the girls need to pick up a bit of that "BULLY BIRD" additude from the boys?

9 points a quarter isn't going to beat a 7th grade team. Bottom line...... Get the handcuffs off , be athletes, create, and.......score.

Sports are meant to be played physical not dirty but physical and some of the girls at HHS are and has that in the I have seen it so the coach needs to find that in them or demand and if not get someone else who will. They have talent but something is missing and if its toughness then that's what needs to change.

Scared(when your afraid to fail your not playing), no fun(again scared and not showing what they can give to the GAME/team), handcuffed(shoot you come out, drive you come out, don't follow the regime you come out), don't play in front of ball either end, no aggressive play on either end, stand around(nothing changes, your not adding to GAME), the list goes on and on. IF this group played a pick up game against most they would do well.

Maybe Highlands should have got a scouting report from coach Stoll.

When you can play against yourself, be better than the day before, and figure out how to not be a pigeon hole driver, shooter, big, defensive only player, and be a complete player you have fun and no coach can create plays, defenses to stop you/your team. They may slow some but you will be wore down. What college coach is looking at how well you run plays???? None. Hustle, attitude, team, CREATE FOR YOU AND YOUR TEAM, shoot WELL, fundamental play. Three quarters of all high school players can't dribble with off hand. Makes me sick. And they make a 3 and now their a shooter. The answer is teach, coach, let them play and advance to a different player. Same crap. Different season. The journey is fun but growing roots kills players. Select=2 steps forward, school= 3 back. No growth, the roots are withering.

It could be that HHS has so many players that have played varsity for so long and in my opinion haven't really improved much since there 7th/8th grade year or freshman year for that matter, sure they have a little but I think most of that is that they matured obviously but their weaknesses are still there from a few years ago, again my opinion.

Agree, same play different year. The roots wither like I said. You grow or die. The game changes everyday. Keep up and teach it, encourage it. Be amazed on what your players can do for the team/game. Don't except less. Again I will say 9 pts a game won't beat many in region play.

Sometimes it better not to open your mouth and let people think your an idiot rather than open your mouth and confirm it.
