HC didn't play well or hard. They gave a lot of minutes to players who barely see the floor against good teams. HC is a very good team that is senior dominated and they had complete control of the game. They could turn it on and off at anytime they wanted to against a team with Ludlow's talent level. The kids from Ludlow played hard the whole way but they were out-manned and out-gunned tonight.

62 -29 wasn't that about the same score of the Conner -Cov Catholic game .... then Campbell County beat Conner the next game and it was a "quality win" SMH

Maybe my initial post was not correct in the wording. My apologies. I never intended to "down" the panthers. In other post I even stated that they played harder and more like they wanted to win than HC did. Never imagined I would get so much crap for saying that the Indians did not play their best. And it didn't even come from the Indian fans! The first response to this thread said"closer game than everyone expected I'm sure ".Had HC won by 20, then everyone would have said this was to be expected, and the world would be great I suppose.

Classic "trap game". Congrats to Ludlow coaches and players for doing everything they could. Holy Cross just too good not to narrowly escape with a victory. This is high school basketball, and its sometimes unpredictability at its finest. Go Panthers! Go Indians!

This initial post is what caused you these problems in this thread. You say not taking anything away from Ludlow, but then you turn right around and basically take it away from Ludlow. Put it this way, if you have to start off a post saying not to take away something from someone, then you are about to say something to put that team down. So best off not even saying that first part.

 

With that said it sounds like Ludlow played a great game and left it on the court, while Holy Cross still found away to win it in the end. Enough said.

 

I meant what I said, not what you and others implied. I stated that so people would understand that I was not downing Ludlow at all. That's the problem with posting things, people take it in ways it wasn't meant to be. I'm one of the most honest straight forward people you are every gonna meet. I don't sugar coat things to make people feel better. Tell it like it is. That's it. If I thought Ludlow was horrible I would have said that. I didn't. It's not my fault some people don't understand what they read and others read more into it than there is or over analyze what someone says. Now let's move on to the next game...

It's not over analyzing what someone said. It's simple if someone knows they need to start a post with this is not taking anything away from a team. Then usually what is about to follow that is exactly that, taking something away from that team. Which is exactly what followed your first sentence. That is not hard to understand and nothing was misread with it.

 

Nothing wrong with stating your opinion though, because that is your opinion and that is all it is an opinion.

Someone on here said it best Ludlow played a great or good game and HC played good enough to pull one out at the end. This game was a one point game at the half and Ludlow gave HC everything they could want from any team. Good game by Ludlow and HC to hang on for the win. JD
