Tuesday night, 9-1 Moeller travels to Park Hills to play CovCath. The Colonels' gauntlet of a schedule continues, coming off a thrashing of Taylor County, on the heels of playing the top big school team in Florida, and one of the top big school teams in Ohio in Wilmington.

 

Moeller will be a war, to be sure. These teams are very familiar with one another, have played some great games the last few years, and this one should be no different.

 

I think CovCath wins a close and low-scoring game, but I could be convinced the Crusaders eek out a slim win.

I'm thinking first team to 45 will win.

Moeller will be the best "team" CCH will face this year. They just beat Mater Dei of Ca who was rated in the top 10 nationally. Colonels are giving up 4-5" at every position. Moe goes 6-5, 6-7, 6-5 so rebounding and scoring in the paint will be difficult. If CCH can catch fire from three point range they might make it a game if not I look for Moe to take this one pretty handily.

CCH has employed a "small" lineup lately (although I didn't see the lineups for the Florida tourney). They've had AJ at the 5.

 

Will they go bigger in their starting lineup against a team with Moeller's size? Who will be the 6th man now that CJ has shown he is varsity ready? Will they keep him there or bump him into the lineup along with Hepp?

Ziggy is 6'6 or 6'7.

Mayer is about 6'3.

Flood is about 6'2ish.

Massie is about 6'2ish although he mainly plays guard.

CJ is about 6'2.

 

Cole is 6'1 or 6'2 and very strong so he can guard a bigger player if he has to.
