LRCW Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 I believe it would be in the Big 10's best interest to realign and flip Purdue and Michigan. Iowa would have been the 4th best team in the East this year. More often than not Ohio State and Michigan are going to be the two best teams in the Big 10. I think it would be great for the Big 10 to have those two teams play each other the last game of the year like they currently do, and have the great possibility that those two would square off again a week later in the Big 10 championship game. I also believe it would assure the Big 10 that it's best team would be in the playoffs, unlike this year. Thoughts?
Jumper_Dad Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Schedules for 2016 and 2017 already released...it will be at least 2018 before it could happen.
Jumper_Dad Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 It's cyclic, teams on top right now could drop off with one NCAA scandal or key coach moving on or just getting old. That said divisions are still new enough to the Big 10, if they want to make a correction to what they have done...then go ahead and do it. If I'm a school in the west I raise heck though, I'd bet those school would never accept a gerrymandered change like that just to try to set UM and OSU up for the finals each season.
GrantNKY Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 I like Michigan and Ohio State in the same division. I don't like the idea of them playing against each other in back to back weeks and I obviously want to keep the game every year. I want Nebraska and Wisconsin to be good again and then it will be even out the divisions a little bit.

St. win the conference ship?
newarkcatholicfan Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 I would like to see Maryland and Purdue switch and/or Penn State and Minnesota.
