George Rogers Clark 73 Newport 53 AIT

Mullins did not hit anyone for the record. He was upset at Snapp's decision to pull him out of the game before halftime. He and players did argue and he did hit a locker. But nobody was hit, and as it stands he is currently not on the team.

It's all constructive and honest. I know basketball bottom line.

Great win for the Cardinals over Newport regardless who was or wasn't on the court for them.

Time to prepare for Paris.

I speak it how I see it. Not always right but I watch a lot of basketball.

If Mullins played GRC gets the lose....hands down

If Mullins could maintain his temper he would have played.

Great game also by Anderson and Menchen after both were held under double digits in previous game. GRC is tough to beat when these two score in double figures.

Yes we are and I hope they can do that every game.

It is a great shame and a dishonor to the Cardinals that individuals use this forum as a sounding board to tear down GRC Basketball!

No sounding board and no dishonor intended. I don't get excited because we beat Nicholas, Pendelton and West Carter. Those are for sure given wins. Newport can't be a measuring stick as to how great we are. Take away the cupcake wins and what is our record. You guys get excited on any win and when we lose you say good game and were improving and our sophomores are coming along.... I know some are die hard GRC fans and you guys are the ones who can't take constructive criticism. If players read my post it should motivate them to prove they can play and team worthy of praise. Chew on this one for awhile....I be back with more.

Who said anything about him "hitting" anyone? I will say it again, based upon what I heard happened, he has played his last high school game at Newport and anywhere in NKY.

Good luck to Newport in the 9th Region.

I don't doubt your info. But in the back of my mind I wonder why hitting a locker would lead to a police escort out of the building. There is a nice pool between the gym and locker rooms, sounds like he should have jumped in there to cool down.

The pun aside, I do wonder what really led to a police escort out of the facilities. It's just hard to see the APD doing that for hitting a locker.

From talking to source that was close to the situation, he went a little on the wildside after being taken out and mouthing off to the coach. Did not fight any teammates or coaches. Was restrained to try and cool down but that didn't work. As for why the police took him out, I was not told. It could have been a threat for all I know. But I do know, 100%, there was no fighting or hitting of any teammates or coaches. This kid is a really nice ball player and I hope he can figure it out.

I hope he does too. It would be a shame for him to waste an opportunity due to personal conflicts. To get a police escort out of James A. Anderson during the AIT he must have done something to warrant that.

I know several local police officers and they are all good guys that IMO, would have sit with and talked things over with him before they would force him to leave the school. Honestly that's what made me wonder what really happened. Hopefully he wraps his head around this and overcomes whatever problems that led to him throwing the tantrum. I know nothing about the kid, but it sounds like he could use basketball to help stabalize his life, if nothing else.
