You as a Christian. If you're not, suit yourself.

:lol2: I don't believe that a prohibition on "Happy Holidays" is found anywhere in the Bible, nor would Jesus find it wrong. As a Christian, I don't need others to tell me how to show respect for Christ's birth.

You have free will. You can do as you please. I however, will not be shamed into being PC or scared in public to declare and exhault the birth of Christ. Those who are offended by that have the problem not me. I'm not offended by someones lack of courage in Christ. I simply will pray for Christ to strengthen them. I'm not a crazy zealot nor do I push my beliefs on anyone. I'm simply not ashamed of my savior.

I show my love of Christ in how I treat others. If that makes me "PC" then I am sure that Christ would approve of treating others with decency and love, as opposed to what the "too much PC" crowd tends to do and say to others. Whether I say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays matters little. How I treat ALL people, Christians and non-Christians, Americans and non-Americans, does.

Happy Christmas and Merry Holidays to all of my BGP family...

I love you all...;)

I understand what you are saying. My only thought is that if you want to be a light and treat people with love they need to know your a Christian so they know where that light comes from. I don't think you are saying that you are being silent about your faith and hiding behind " good works ". Good works show a soul enlightened by Christ. People need to know that it's Christ that lights your soul and drives the good works. What better opportunity to share that then Christmas. People should be able to see that it's Christ that makes a difference and I'm only a vessel. Boasting of my good works is not what Christ wants. Humble, loving servants is. GOD bless you and Merry Christmas.

The whole "taking Christ out of Christmas" or "The war on Christmas" is just silly. There's no harm in saying "Happy Holidays", especially if it's someone you don't know what their religious affiliation is. It's not PC, it's just being respectful of others beliefs and treating people well.

I never consider religious affiliation.

Merry Christmas is

- for people that I know I'll see again before New Years.

- for people that I may never see again (waitress, cashiers) or that I don't personally know.

Happy Holidays is

-for people that I know I'll see again but not before New Years...so I wish them Happy Holidays to cover both.

Merry Christmas to all on BGP (as I expect to be back on here and "see" you all before New Years)

It doesn't matter what their beliefs are. By saying Merry Christmas and being a light in a dark world they may say. What makes you so happy. I get to say Christ saved me and I have no worries. If you love people and want them to have everlasting life, you don't worry about Merry Christmas being offensive. Be a Christian and let them start the conversation and answer the questions they may have. You don't have to force it on anyone, they will see it in you and be curious. Then share the joy. I'm not offended if someone says happy holidays or quanza or whatever. I simply stated that my opinion is Merry Christmas not happy holidays.

I'm not worried about "Merry Christmas" being offensive. I just recognize not everyone shares my belief. If that is the worst of my sins, and makes me a bad Christian, then so be it.

No it doesn't. And I'm not pushy about it nor will I ever force a conversation or my beliefs on anyone who doesn't want to or engage in one, but I will share when asked. That is our duty as Christians. If someone claimed they were offended by my saying Merry Christmas I would apologize to them. That will not deter me from continuing to do so.

It has nothing to do with good works. I don't believe that words such as "Merry Christmas" make me a Christian. I believe that how I love others through Christ does.
