Poor white people, not getting a job because of the color their skin? :lol2:

If the ad was open to only certain races, what happened to the cant discriminate based on race thing. Or does it only matter to some if a person is white.

the ad continued, “The Department of Physics and Astronomy announces a tenure-track assistant professor position that will be filled by an African-American, Hispanic American or a Native American Indian [sic].”

Do you think there is some grant funding parameters that need to be met and that is the purpose of the posting? If a grant requires some type of relationship among the staff to mirror the student population I could see where they would need to hire particular minorities.
