I think he may have just gotten tired of all the hassle at CCHS.

What are you doing to make a difference..nothing??? just bad-mouthing??? If you feel so strongly then volunteer your time and efforts. Alumni of CCHS are too passive and have no passion to make things better. Make a difference. Stop being part of the problem. I am not going to comment on your negative remarks, only go out there and work even harder to be a positive influence....and guess what I did not even go to CCS or work for them, see how easy it is?

ballerm, you are to be thanked for your efforts. But, tell me, honestly can you claim your experience with the high school leaders to be cooperative or not. At one time, I was you but after awhile putting up with the likes of Miller, Gross, Jones and Mohr, why bother. They had zero interest in anything to improve. All they wanted was the increase in their pay for the next year. Please tell me, do I have it wrong?

Joe was a great athletic administrator in the 10th region! He was very organized, hard-working, caring, and had a great vision for Campbell County! Unfortunately I feel like he stepped into a buzzsaw! A place that is too bitter about the past to be able to move forward in the present!!! 92Birds, while brutally honest, seems to have accurately identified some of the existing problems! However, I disagree with the fact that there is only 1 good thing in the district! After observing both the baseball and basketball coaches, I feel that they are both quality coaches and great people as well!!! Hopefully Campbell can hold on to them! 92Birds, I'd like to ask you this question: If the super is as good as you say he is, then why has he allowed this nonsense to continue that may have driven out the AD or the FB coach?

I will also agree Reitz and Herringer are quality coaches and great individuals. The Super is a good person and we will see if changes will be made now that it is evident SOMETHING has to be done about the current administration. I will re-evaluate my opinion of him in the next couple of months. OR maybe he realizes there is too much crap out there and he decides to leave as well.

It's that kind of mentality that may have cost Joe Roberts his job.

Joe did his best to be a good neighbor and be accommodating where possible, making a positive contribution to the entire Alexandria community.

Unforturnately, it was viewed by some as Brossart using "their" facilities, etc.

We have always maintained a good relationship with the administration at Campbell County, including Joe, Superintendent Anthony Strong, and several of your school board members. Joe didn't make those decisions by himself.

Joe was always aware that he worked for the Campbell County School System and there were times that we sought his help in remedying a problem that he was unable to help and said so.

We sought his help when we lost Thomas More as a venue for our Pendleton County game last winter. He would not reschedule Middle School or High School activities out of their facilities to help us out - as well he should not have.

We asked to use Middle School facilities for our summer youth basketball camp, and he readily admitted that was under pressure from their camp about us using their facilities to promote our program and said "No."

It seemed as soon as we announced that we were going to start a football program, there was an outcry that we couldn't use Bob Miller Stadium.

Why??? If Bob Miller Stadium is available and we pay our way, why shouldn't we use that facility????

I have personally broadcast Campbell County basketball and football games over the internet as a personal favor to Joe Roberts and Anthony Strong, simply because it's something that we are capable of doing for them in return for some of the things that they do for us. It's called cooperation. It exists between many public and private schools who co-exist within the same community.

Why should Alexandria be any different???

Why?

Because you have a short, little, wrestling coach who backstabbed the AD every step of the way with the help of the principal who has a major insecurity problem. That is why. Mustang, when BBHS asks about anything in the future, hope you know these two will flat out be lying to your face.

Obviously this goes a lot deeper than I realized.

Joe was a good guy who had the best interest of his school district at heart. It's too bad that he had to become victimized by all of the politics.

Hopefully, he will be appreciated for his efforts at Lebanon.

My concern is that if Joe Roberts can't appease the powers that be at Campbell - who can???

That short, little, wrestling coach backstabbed the AD because he was fired as AD prior to Joe. Whoever the next AD will be will also be backstabbed by the little man and the insecure principal who is so scared will stand by his side. This is nothing new at CCHS. This has gone on for quite some time. A few people had a vision to bring CCHS to greatness by bringing in some great new people to change these old practices. People aren't always receptive to change. Like the old warden says, "if that's they way he wants it, that's the way he gets it." I will continue to admonish the current administration every chance I get because they are worthless and arrogant.

This is a very good question. :thumb:

And then there is the saying you get what you deserve. Why don't you take some of this anger and make a difference. Express your concerns in a constructive way....site-based councils, school board meetings, school board elections, parent involvement, volunteerism, and financial support. There are many concerned parents who want to change this situation and do what is best for the kids of this district. There are issues in every school district, ours has been in the spotlight lately. But we can make a difference if we work hard together and stop all of this negative behavior. I am frankly sick of those that love to bad mouth both sides but sit back and do nothing. This will get this community nowhere. We have alot to be proud of, its time to start tooting that horn and work positively to change those things that are wrong.

Why should Alexandria be any different???

Why???? Our facilities are already overused for our students, the varsity programs are limited to practice time due to the limits of our gyms and practice areas. The football field can not even be used by our teams for practices due to the wear and tear that field takes. We have varsity, JV, Freshman, Middle school and now 4th, 5th and 6th grade teams that need practice and game times on our football fields. And now another school wants/expects us to rent it to them? Now the best AD in the world could not solve that problem. Now if we had turf, that could change the equation of the wear and tear but time is a bigger factor. The gym situation would only be alleviated with another practice facility. The community of Alexandria/Campbell County should partner with the district to create a community center shared by the citizens of Campbell Co and the schools much like the facilities at Mason High School in Cincinnati.

I assume you are referring to the Taxpayers of Campbell County's facilities, not yours?? I'm going to guess that includes Brossart's parent and student populations as well as CCHS's!!

Then send them to public school since you've already paid for it.

I graduated from CCHS in 1997 and the field had no grass. I went to a game last year and it still had no grass. There is no way I would have let Brossart use that field (unless the way was funding a turf surface).

Lets get it back to task and not each other.:irked:

Did Joe leave or was he fired? If he left because of politics then personal attacks need to stop.
