Mason County 57 Ripley OH 13

Ripley only has 6 at halftime. Who benifits from games like this? Mason is a top 10 team in the state currently 9th. Kudos to the Mason and their defense.

Looking at their upcoming games I think it helps them, gives them a chance to work on stuff against different opponents before going into the Lexington Catholic tournament next week.

What do you mean who benefits? You play the games on the schedule. Who benefited when Bracken beat Augusta by 40 last week? You just play the next game and hope you get something out of it.

Auguata is a district game sumo come on man. Its always benifical to play your district opponets at least once. You know that. Whatever the score.

Honestly it was asimple question. I may be the only one that posted it but Im not the only one thinking it. Doesnt matter to me who you play. Ive seen threads in the past where such lop-sided scores were questioned and usually the reason is a district seeding game.

Ill reference a couple threads i could find. All-be-it these scores were a little more lop-sided

So basically what you are saying is its alright for Bracken Co to beat Augusta by 40 because its a district opponent, even though they play in an unseeded district? Not saying these type of games are good for anyone, but there isn't anything that makes the Bracken and Augusta game "good" compared to the game played by Mason County today.

No its not good. Never said that. But they play every year twice a year have for a long time. Most of the time its gonna be a one sided game, but last yr on two occasions it was a very close game with BC winning the first and Augusta winning the last. Cross county rivals.

If it is an unexpected blow out thats one thing. Ill reference the MC/BC girls game last week. Many figured MC would win and thats fine, I believe a few were surprised that it was a blowout.

If you kinds know going in its gonna get out of hand quickly why even schedule that game. Agian I personally dont give a :poop: either way. Just asking the first question that came to mind as I was listening to Travis on the radio this afternoon.

This is the first year in several that they will be playing twice in the regular season.

Ive went back 5 years on the score board and they have played twice in the regular season :idunno:

Could be All A some games on there are not marked

Point is they play every year because of their county connection

I don't believe that for a minute. With your logic, Mason would benefit by playing districts opponents Augusta and St. Patrick but not Ripley. They are all basically equal talent. Why do you think We don't play them. You learned nothing by playing Augusta, St. Pat that you did not know before you played them. An easy win and hope you draw them at district time. That's all!!!!

This is all fine but when Mason plays a team that they blow out, don't get on here and point it out like it is awful we play them. Check both teams schedules and I believe Mason has a very few of these games.

I find this humorous, it's okay for Bracken Co to beat a team by 40+ but anytime Mason Co does it it's a felony. Talk about double standards. Smh

See post 9. Didn't say either was ok.
