December 7, 201510 yr Author Horrible. Absolutely horrible. No Mayfield? No Reynolds? No Elliott? I just don't understand. What does it hurt inviting 5 guys? If you're going to invite a QB too, why Watson over Mayfield? That decision doesn't make since to me.
December 7, 201510 yr If you want to see Christian McCaffery as a 7th grader see here: FBU 7th Grade Bowl, 11/21/2008 | 23 : 45 Newtek on USTREAM. Football Only a minute into the video he is doing double spin moves on a run.
December 7, 201510 yr Author I'd vote Watson, but I wouldn't be upset if either of the other two won. Why? The number of great running backs this year and you want to give it to a QB? I would give it McCaffrey, Henry, Elliott, Cook, and Fournette way before I would even consider Watson. Doesn't deserve to be there if only 3 finalists.

I have no problem bringing top 5, but if just 3 come then it has to be the top 3 by vote...not the winner and 2 random guys.
December 8, 201510 yr Voting closed today but I think I heard 90% of the vote was already in, before today. So they already have a really good idea who the top 3 are.

I don't doubt that these are the top 3 guys, even if I disagree about Watson. But why not invite 2 more guys anyways? Especially Reynolds. What a great story that would have been and its not like he didn't have the pedigree to get there. I'm most disappointed about that.

That would be fine, but you don't invite the 4 or 5 guy over the 3 guy.
December 8, 201510 yr Author I'm not saying to do that. Even if I don't think Watson is deserving of being there. I don't have a vote so my opinion doesn't matter. But to only invite 3 guys when there were 8 guys deserving of being there is just wrong. Compared to 2 years ago when they invited 6 guys, this just blows my mind.

In short, the others didn't get enough votes which makes me believe the top 1 or 2 got the overwhelming majority of votes, Watson probably a distant 3rd.

I understand that, all I'm saying is why not make an exception this year when there are so many deserving candidates?
December 8, 201510 yr Ok. I understand that, all I'm saying is why not make an exception this year when there are so many deserving candidates? I think those who voted are saying there aren't many deserving candidates :lol2:
December 8, 201510 yr Author I think those who voted are saying there aren't many deserving candidates :lol2: But then why was there so much about 8 potential candidates basically everywhere else? People have been saying that it has been Henry's to lose for about a month now, but its not like these other candidates have fallen off the face of the planet (except for Fournette). 2 years ago there were 6 people invited, but Jameis Winston won going away. How do you leave Keenan Reynolds out though? No I'm not saying he should win, but he should be there for the story alone. It is so easy to make the Heisman ceremony a big, big deal and still make give it to the right guy. Henry is probably going to win anyways, so what does it hurt bringing in 2 other guys who are deserving of being there. Thats all I'm saying. I'm not campaigning for someone thats not 1 of those 3 to win, but at least have a cool story line to go along with it.
