It's all about matchups...but Corbin gave Belfry a lot more of a battle than LexCath and Etown was no match for the Knights.

 

Corbin was playing really good ball at season's end.

I'm more worried about it moving forward...Boyle got some studs on the way. I'm thinking 2017/2018/2019.

2017 is the year for 3A to exorcise some demons on the Pirates I have a feeling.

You better be lights out because maybe the best class to ever come thru Boyle will be seniors in 2019 with a load of help behind them. And I have it on really good authority that Belfry MS this year would have had their hands full with BCMS.

I have it on good authority that an injury depleted Belfry MS smacked everybody that would line up and play them in the mouth this year. Boyle Co. wouldn't put their money where their mouth is and participate with the big dogs.

Was that South Oldham only losing 14-8 in the final, with South Oldham having the ball inside the 40 at the end. Not exactly a beat down -- just a very well played, tough game. Belfry as a community has their football program going at all levels. Those were some big boys out on that MS field! Look to see them repeat in 3A again next season. Not sure who else to put in top 10.
