Is game still on tonight at Holmes? Covington schools were closed today because of bomb threat made in social media.

Heard Covington has a bomb threat and Holmes did not have school today. Will this affect the game?

They are hoping to have the game as scheduled, nothing confirmed either way as of 11;30.

Ryle is a very talented team! Last year they almost knocked the Bulldogs off but a last second shot was waved off!

 

Holmes is a phenomenal team, should win this game without a doubt. But the way the Radiers have been playing, I don't see this as an easy win.

 

That's why I see it has a big game bc I hope the lady Radiers can test the Bulldogs!

 

I am a huge Holmes fan! I just think people don't give Ryle enough credit. They're a good team!

 

So refreshing to see a "Huge Fan" have an open perspective on a game and season. And can be honest with what they see!

 

I'm with you...my brain tells me Holmes wins this game. But for some reason, by gut is telling me that is will be a great game and Ryle has a decent shot of pulling off the upset. Not because I don't like Holmes...I just think Ryle is playing well and Holmes really hasn't been tested yet. The only thing that concerns me a little is Ryle having a new coach. It definitely sounds like she has Ryle clicking on all cylinders right now, but does she really understand the challenges that Holmes creates? Has she seen it before? It's easy to see it on film, but until you see it live, it's tough to simulate. Hopefully someone's been in her ear and they are prepared and we get a great game.

Holmes was ranked #5 in state in the USA / C-J pre-season poll, Ryle wasn't mentioned at all, so on paper this should be easy win for Holmes, right?

Not much main stream support for Raiders early on, while Holmes seem to be a shoe in for the sweet 16, according to bgp and polls. Even the Shinning Stars guy that runs it voted against Ryle in the pole, when Ryles team is mostly his players! So, yea seems funny that a lot of posters think the game will be close when Holmes been pounding their competition into the ground, getting the votes, not Ryle.

Glad circumstances didn't cancel this game. So come on out to the field house for two quality teams and some great 9th region girls basketball. Go Raiders!

I like the way Ryle is playing so far this year, this team has never really lived up to it's potential in the past. This year they seem to be playing to their talent. I hope this is a great game looking forward to seeing it.

Yes, a little sarcasm there, Sorry! Seemed ironic to ask about 'huge match' when HHS so highly touted while RHS clearly considered huge under dogs. Amusing seeing big predictions for bulldog success, some hinting state champ yet a lot of bgpers saying 'well Ryle just might beat them.' Interesting...
