Was also told the NewCath freshman boys game was canceled because of this............If this is all true the "cake-eaters" going to owe NewCath. The softball team could use some indoor practice time.

I can't confirm, but it is my understanding that Highlands' gym is under repair, so sounds reasonable to me.

Confirmed! JV and varsity. HHS gym had a setback and the upgrades and floor are behind.hhs is renting the gym for this game.

HHS won the game at SH last year 59-45. Both teams lost a couple seniors and HHS will play without their Sr PG again tonight. SH is loaded with some young talent. Should be a very interesting game tonight and nothing would surprise me in this early matchup. HHS hasn't looked polished or super motivated in their scrimmages so far. But sometimes that can be boredom!

Yep I'm expecting a competitive game, but this year the Valkyries should be ready for Highlands press and aggressiveness. If SHA stays healthy, they will be very good by the end of the season.

Maybe there's more to it. I can't imagine a school canceling a game for THEIR team just to rent out the gym to another school. Must be more to the story.
