Clyde Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 'Christmas is approaching: there will be lights, parties, Christmas trees and nativity scenes... it's all a charade. The world continues to go to war. The world has not chosen a peaceful path,' he said in the Mass at the chapel of the Santa Marta residence. lawildcat Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 So does he want us to stop celebrating until there is no more war? He's going to be waiting a long while.
TheDeuce Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Christmas has been commercialized just like every other holiday that we celebrate. Not sure that's breaking news to anybody.
Getslow Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Pope says a lot of things. We didn't even have a thread on his entire trip to Africa because I didn't think it would generate much interest. The terrorists don't celebrate Christmas, so unless he's telling the victims not to celebrate, I'm not sure what he's trying to accomplish.
doomer Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Maybe he can convert the Muslims to Christianity?
75center Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 So nothing on this? You started the thread but made no comment yourself. What are your thoughts?
Science Friction Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I hope everyone has a very Merry Charade!
