Score was Wayne 27 Rock 24 Rock gave up 21 second half points. At halftime it was 18-6 Rockcastle. Wayne took the first lead in the 3rd 21-18. Then rock answered back 24-21 before Wayne scored on a high snap over the punters head ball rolls in the end zone instead of falling on ball for a safety and only giving up 2 points the punter decides to pick up the ball and try to throw it and it's picked off ran into the end zone for a touchdown. The Wayne county TD before that was on a bad punt that went maybe 15 yards an was returned for a TD. Special teams tonight gave Wayne county the game. Overall was a fun game to watch rock just came up a little short.

As much as I hate to say it' date=' Rock gave this game away, Wayne did not outplay Rock.[/quote']

Well... The score certainly contradicts that.

Rockcastle had 254 rushing yards with 3 rushing TD also had 149 passing yards with 1 passing TD. Total offense 403 yards. Wayne only had 82 rushing yards and 162 passing yards for a total of 244 and most importantly only 2 offensive TDs. Rock gave this one away on special teams with only bad punt from about there 10 yard line that may went 15 yards an was returned for an easy TD then one high snap over the punters head an for some crazy reason the punter runs to get the ball that is in the end zone an picks up the ball throws it to maybe the 10 yard line right into the hands of a Wayne county player who intercepts the ball an runs in the endzone. Had the punter took the safety Rock win 24-23 bc the rest of the quarter rocks defense holds Wayne easily. Just a hard game to swallow with the special team mistakes made that rock doesn't normally make on special teams anyway.

I believe Rock has been slowly rebuilding, getting better every year. I expect them to be a real threat next season in their district and deserved more respect than what many have showed them this season.
