Maynard play at Scott last year?

Maynard played at Elliott Co. last year.

Ferguson is having a great summer.

RA09 -

did Fergeson play? Is he healthy?

Ferguson is healthy. In the six games he's played this weekhe has 153 pts along with 15 assist and several boards. He has played well this summer as has the whole Elliott co. team. They seem to just keep getting smoother. As i said in another post when Evan gets back watch out.

Any updates today, heard that Lincoln County beat a team last night with Jordan Smart, Tyler Portwood and Jonathon Vanhoose. Anybody there for that one.

I know Lincoln Co lost to the kids from Elliott Co yesterday & the kids from Elliott also beat this same group with Portwood, Vanhoose & Smart. I will try to find out about this for you

Jon Van Hoose and Ethan Faulkner represented the 16th in the all star game tonight. Ferguson was named an alternate. Jordan Smart and Tyler Portwood also made the team from the 11th! DS all stars were well represented!

They will face off in the first game of the tournament tomorrow. One thing to note in these games, there are 10 players per team, with two squads of 5 players playing equal time, you dont shoot one and ones, clock never stops,

there is no over and back, and no ten second violation. Lincoln county won the other night with 7 players, which gave them a big advantage because

you can keep your best players in the game. It is not uncommon for the first team to dig a hole of 5-15 points and then Van Hoose, Smart, and Portwood come back in their time period.. They got it done 7 times, just missed 2 times. I noticed tonight Elliot County had 8 players, 7 from Elliot and one big kid from South Oldham, allowing extra playing time for Faulkner, Ferguson, and Maynard. Elliot County and Lincoln county were the two teams they couldnt quite get back. There will be an Elliot County rematch in the first game of the tournament Thursday. Should be a good game

The teams with fewer players can have a big advantage as there is a wide range of talent from top to bottom on these teams. On a side note, Jeff Brooks from Louisville Doss put on quite a show in the all star game tonight as he brought down the house with several "show stopping " dunks! and earned game mvp honors

Hey Shooter one disadvantage to this thought showed last night for the Elliott kids,Fatigue! They are flat busted & I do not look for todays contest to be to competitive. They have competed hared this week & have done well. Good luck to Vanhoose &his team in the tourney

Fatigue? for those kids? 3 games a day is nothing to those boys, they are probally looking for pickup games outside,

they played well today, got beat on a last second layup, could have very easily won, the second unit turned the game around and made the difference, last play of game, tie ball game, Ethan misses floater in lane with about 5 secs to go, Smart rebounds, outlets to Van Hoose, Van Hoose hits Portwood for a layup

game over

whewwwwwww, that was too close

Ferguson hit two big three's down the stretch, Faulkner picked Van Hoose

a couple times, one they called a foul and probally wasnt

The 16th region was resprented very well this week. Vanhoose had a great camp. Would have liked to see him get a few more touches in the All Star game as he hit one three from deep. He is a great player and I wish him all the luck in the upcoming season.

I love watching the boys from Elliott play ball. They let it all hang out, and are truly old school competitors. They take every possession personally. I can’t imagine a coach in the region who wouldn't love to have any one of 'em in their line up.

Ferg is a warrior who leads by example, the Faulkners are both floor generals, Maynard can be off the hook from deep at times, Greene is a load in the paint, Knipp is getting stronger, the Gilliam kid can be a real banger inside. Evan Faulkner gets well and these boys will be a handful for anybody. Should be a fun season in Sandy Hook.

When VanHoose from Russell gets on a roll, he’s like a laser guided weapon. Teams have to keep a hand in his face out to 30 feet. That will open things up for his teammates inside.
