Breeden New Coach at Owensboro

Featured Replies

Wayne Breeden, former MSU asst. and Ashland coach, is the new coach at tradition-rich Owensboro High.

I would love to see the Devils get back on track, they have been quiet recently.

I've been wondering where Breeden would land. With him at Owensboro and Tony Hopper at Apollo, two of the state's better coaches are in the same district.

Owensboro is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lucky! Ashland sure missed their chance to get him back! I hope the boys at Owensboro are ready for boot camp!

That should be interesting. Both are great coaches.

Good luck to Coach Beeden at OHS!

Who does Owensboro have comming back this year? Where do they stand in thier region?

Owensboro had a good coach last year in Jimmy Voight, who left to return to the junior college ranks. The Red Devils, as I understand it, had Apollo (the eventual state runner-up) beat in the district tournament, but missed some big free throws down the stretch.

I'm told that Owensboro should be fairly good next year and has some good young talent coming up through their system.

Breeden is a great person and coach...I wish him all the best.:thumb:

Westsider...keep us posted on his team this season.
