Owensboro 69 Grayson County 0

Featured Replies

Devils looked sharp, and did exactly what they were supposed to against an overmatched Grayson County team. OHS was pretty much able to execute anything they ran, but more importantly OHS got out without any injuries. The Devils has their backups in midway through the second quarter and the JV and freshman Devils finished the job from there.

Next week will be a major jump in competition with a solid Greenwood team coming to Rash. OHS seems to be a focused bunch and no one wearing red and black is even thinking about BG at this point. All of OHS' attention will be on a Greenwood and the Gators made that easier to do with a drubbing of Graves County who took OHS to the wire two weeks ago.

Also want to give props to OHS senior wide receiver Jahlil Barret who scored on a pass reception, run, and a punt return. Also Landon Board did his usual damage and TJ James had a nice cut back td run from about 40 yards out.

Also sophomore Ray Ray Weaver rushed for well over 100 yards and freshman Trevon Green scored on a 30 yard scamper to close out the scoring. Freshman Brennan Williams really stood out at linebacker in the second half as did 6'7 255 lbs sophomore defensive end Jackson Burke.

Good showing and keep it up next week!

Greenwood will slow the game down and eat up the clock. They will run and then run some more. I think they only have about 300 passing yards the whole season. QB Jackson Adams leads the team in rushing. He's a good one and is only a sophomore. This is Greenwood"s best team in years, but they won't get by the Red Devils, who also has one of their best teams in years.

D58, even though we've never met, by your comments you've always been a pretty straight shooter. But the bolded above is the best "coach speak" you've provided us. Both BG and O will "focus" on Christian and GW respectively, but if you don't think both players and coaches of both aren't thinking about the rematch I think you are kidding yourself. I have been thinking about it since the regular season game.

Haha, good point Purple88. While everyone on both sides are "thinking" about the potential matchup, Kevin Wallace and Jay Fallin will make sure their respective squads are focused on their 2nd round match ups. Both coaches have much respect for coach Lovelace and Seabolt to let their teams overlook Friday.

Greenwood made OHS coach Jay Fallins job of getting the Devils focused much easier this week. And coach Wallace knows it's foolish to overlook and Steve Lovelace coached team.

Friday night around 10, hopefully, we can get the BG-OHS talk started.

I love maxpreps. For beating the pulp out of Grayson County 69-0, you drop 406 spots in the national rankings.

Thanks for the factoid. I'll mention that on the show tomorrow night at 9pm. We'll give that stat a big fat "fail horn"

They didn't play anyone. That's why Ky playoffs hurt ky teams in max preps. Kentucky is watered down.
