Horton is the most dominate player in Eastern KY. IMO in 3A football in Eastern KY I would rather have an offensive stud.

 

 

Considering the last three 3A State Title games have seen a combined 5 Offensive TD's in 13 Quarters of play I think it speaks more than a dominant Defensive Force is a hotter commodity

 

It's been a long time since an EKY 3A team put more than a TD up on the Belfry starting D in November.

I think I'm right here, but Lawrence was the only team to score an offensive touchdown against Belfry in all 5 rounds last year, right?

Per the KHSAA scoreboard/stats page (a great resource, by the way) Pike Central scored 14 points against Belfry the week before the Lawrence game, one on the ground and one through the air. Now they may have come late against the JV defense, but they were offensive touchdowns.

I know the 6 Jackson scored and the 14 PC scored were on the JV

 

I want to say Lawrence got a long TD pass to Dalton on the Belfry 1's...but I might be confusing 2013. Let me research

The deep pass to Dalton was the only score on the Belfry varsity in 2014's playoffs... LC's other score came once the Belfry 1's were out.

Maybe a gap in talent from top to bottom. But West Carter has the best player in the two districts.

 

No chance. Raquan Horton from Belfry is hands down the best player in the two districts....

I think Fleming has the offense and athleticism to compete with Lawrence but the Bulldogs will physically dominate the Panthers up front and wear them down with their physicality.
