You know I think it is kind of funny to look at the people who vote in these polls on the threads. If you pay real close attention you can notice trends. Some people vote and no matter what they will vote against certain teams. Amusing but I digress.

 

Where does Harrison County get their officials from?

 

Can anyone speak to the kind of team Harrison County is? Run/Pass heavy? Defensive schemes? Who are their play makers?

Maybe someone who has an axe to grind...............

I don't know enough about HC to know their strengths and weaknesses, but I've seen the Juggs play a few times, don't like the fact that they are inconsistent, but love their big play ability. Have to go with the Juggs by 10

I have read about the inconsistencies with each team. If both teams come to play this should be crap shoot in my opinion. I have seen both teams play, I've seen HC play more this year. If the Thorobreds show up like they did against Bourbon County, I see them getting their 5th win and ending the regular season 5-5, which hasn't happened in a long time.

Comparing scores can be very misleading. Scott drilled Harrison...and Bourbon played right with Scott...only to lose to Harrison on their home field. All about matchups. if Lloyd has a consist running game...they can wear Harrison down.

 

What Harrison lacks in depth they try to make up for in effort and scheming. Should be a good ball game. If Harrison limits their penalties and turnovers (that's a big if)....then they'll have a good shot at winning this one.

 

But, IMO....it will come down to those things....turnovers and penalties.

I hope Harrison's football team treats the Juggs better than what their baseball does to visitors. They say it is a real home advantage on their diamond.

Lighten up Francis, I wasn't implying the refs are unfair. Harrison's Baseball field is considered one of the toughest places to play in the state.

The field is nothing unique. Typical quality, grass infield and facility well manicured. Suspect it's the program Mac Whitaker has developed over his 30(?) years of coaching. Don't see this related at all to the struggling football program. Little spark of life ignited this year; however don't have enough athletes to compete this week. Jugs by 15.

Yes the Breds have been ignited. They have learned how to play as a team and not lay down and die. I may have to eat my word, but certainly hope not. I think Harrison will win this week. All the other teams expect so little from Harrison Co, but the boys have surprised a few. Bourbon Co came onto the field with great cockiness last week. It bit them in the butt! Someone forgot to tell Harrison Co they were suppose to lay down and lose. These young men deserve a little more credit than they have been given this year.

I'm curious to hear what happens in this game, particularly with starters playing and for how long. From what I'm hearing, it sounds like HC will be scratching, clawing, biting and fighting (not literally) with pride on the line in this game. They really want the win and 5-5 record going into the playoffs. Does Lloyd have that same desire and fire to get a W before going into the playoffs a 2nd seed?

The way I look at you should be playing your starters to get a rhythm but as soon as the game is in hand pull them out. Its a tough situation when the game really doesn't matter. But momentum means alot. What do you think.
