2 things going on here. First BG isn't going to get a running clock on a 6A platooning 8-1 team. If they do look out 5A you're done. Second McCracken is not better than Owensboro in general and specifically McCrackens strengths and weaknesses don't match up well against Owensboro. They match up better with BG.

How do they match up better against a team (red devils) they already beat. Not making sense. BG corners and DBs is our strength. I can assure you that you won't face a better corner than Trey Fant (#7).

I know they haven't played. I was referring to your statement that you believe McCracken matches better with BG than Owensboro. I dont see it that way since bg already beat owensboro.

WHO, I have consistently said I look for this to be a close game and still do. I have a ton of respect for Owensboro so to openly say McCracken is better than Owensboro has a ton of weight for me. I haven't seen McCracken yet so it is tough for me to say thats true or not. But they are 2 completely different style teams. O offense is smashmouth rushing with great athletes and defense is one of best front 7s you will find in State. McCracken "I believe" is a better passing team with great athletes. I don't recall hearing superior D accolades for the Mustang D, but you tell me. So to say MC is better than O... Wow, thats a tall tree!

McCracken County is not as fast as Bowling Green. McCracken County's schedule is the only reason they are 8-1. They lost to 3A Paducah Tilghman. They've given up a ton of points to a weak schedule. The Purples have lost 3 games in the last 5 years. The list goes on and on.

I have no idea what is going to happen. Especially since I haven't seen McCracken play and there is also the playoff factor in play here. How much do these teams actually care about this game?

 

I do see McCracken had 26 points scored on them by a 4-5 Muhlenberg County. Had 35 points put up on them by a 3-6 Warren Central team. And when I look at their schedule, even though they beat a pretty good Mayfield team, I felt a lot better about the Purples coming out victorious. Looking forward to a fun game tonight.

When the running clock is enabled in 2nd or 3rd Qt. you have the JV and Freshman playing defense against there Varsity. Those scores are very deceptive!! Should be a great game and good measuring stick for McCracken tonight. Good luck to both teams!!

As for this game, I think McCracken is vastly overrated. They have a dynamic playmaker in Hughes and a solid QB in Jones. I do think the overall team talent will tilt heavily in favor of BG.
