Hey guys, a different question. A friend of mine's son plays on the boys team, so I undertaken the exposure and excitement surrounding this team. They currently list 16 varsity player's with only 4 senoirs. 12 of which are guards with only 3 seniors. So might the parents be a little naive to think their kid has a better chance of playing right away. Unless we are talking about a big.

 

I assume you are talking about the girls team. I have no idea what their makeup is, but I can tell you this one will be on the varsity roster this year. Just because a team has a lot of players on their roster and a lot of guards doesn't mean a thing when it comes to playing time and what level they will play...especially with girls teams. Trust me on this one. And others are coming too. Maybe not this year, but they are.

Cheer all you want. Are you saying you aren't a HC fan already??? But you already "KNOW" everything else about them??? Boy, you are contradicting yourself now.

 

You want to come on and be a "funny, funny man" to divert from the issue. But then contradict yourself with your statements. You know all about the JV talent and paying tuition lies, but you are now just going to start rooting for them because of me. Hahahahahah.

I mentioned it because you and CAP did. I didn't bring it up. Memory is great! I just asked a follow up to your response to the one that did bring it up.

 

Not going crazy...just entertainment for me too. But I also like to see things done the right way. And when things get stretched, I'm not one that just sits back and lets it happen without discussing it. So lets discuss. If you're "in the know" are you telling me that the best 8th grader from Holmes didn't come over the summer and the best 8th grader from HHS (both on the same AAU team) didn't just transfer in? AND there are no other "bests or very goods" 8th graders coming soon right? We already know a very good kid from St Cath is coming next year. Thats 3 already...with rumors of more "bests" coming. What a class you'll have!!! Man, would be great to have all those kids coming in as a freshman class. Looks like HC is the place to be for Girl's bball in NKY! So tell us, who else is coming...and quit diverting with your comedy. Although it is kinda funny. If you want to discuss...let's discuss.

I will say with all due respect...stick with the bolded. I know what I'm talking about and there is most likely more to come. Let it play out and then let me know if it's sour grapes. I have absolutely NOTHING to be sour about. It's the way it's playing out that I don't like. It's not what is happening...

 

Everyone thinks people are on them now because they are jealous they won state...Go back two years ago and look it up. I was on this waaaaayyyyy before anyone dreamed HC would win state last year.

 

Like I told the other poster, I will come back on and tell you "I told you so" when it all plays out. Two have gone now, one is coming next year and I have a good sense there are others on the way.

 

Saying it's "sour grapes" is all the HC folks that are in the know way of diverting the news. It's easy to say "they are just jealous" to have folks move on. Trust me, not jealous one bit. It's just don't like it and don't thing this is what HS sports should be about. Win at all costs!

I don't know if girls "wanted" to go to HC before or after or not. I'm saying they are migrating that way pretty darn fast. I guess it's because of the history, tradition and coaching HC has to offer.

Lets cut to the chase, this particular girl from St. Catherine was going to NCC but they have enough freshman paying tuition that they wouldn't allow and good for NCC, unless numbers are down there is no way a kid should go and play over a parent who is paying tuition whether they are better or not, NCC has done the right thing. I know exactly who you are talking about RCCA9 and I believe you are pretty accurate with it all.

My experience with girls basketball and soccer is that the girls that play AAU/Select like to stay together in high school.

 

And if they do base it on history, tradition, and coaching then HC would be the obvious choice for incoming players. I typed that while saying "Panda Power!" three times to confirm my allegiance.:banana:

Well that's because you're a Panda fan!!!

And you can bet you see this player on the varsity roster at HC this year.

 

Even if that happens, as an 8th grader, she can still go somewhere else for her Freshman year without penalty. The question to ask is - will she stay at HC after this year?
