I would definitely disagree with that! Hoping you are not in the D1Son camp who predicted a Newport victory.

To say that Newport is down is an understatement. If NCC doesn't have a running clock by halftime I would be surprised

 

Yes and not sure where Newport goes with this after this season. QB is only a freshman though and hopefully can develop and get some things going around him.

With that I certainly hope the coaches really stress the fundamentals in this one. No penalties, good technique in their blocking, crisp routes and solid tackling.

It is a good chance to improve if they don't overlook as "just another game" to prepare for Beechwood.

 

I also hope the coaches look to see who on JV is ready to step up and take more of a role on Varsity. It seems like they don't too deep into the rotations.

 

Again though I think NewCath with the running clock in the second half.

NewCath, I hope, is going to take huge steps forward in discipline in this game. There is no excuse for getting any unsportsmanlikes this game. I don't care how emotional it gets playing Newport.
