Henderson County 28 Daviess County 14

Featured Replies

Good win for the Colonels. 7th consecutive victory against Daviess Co. Hendersons run game and time of possession absolutely dominated the game. 3 yards and a cloud of dust the whole game. Colonels clinch #2 seed in 6A district 1. Guaranteeing them a home playoff game.

Carter 163 yds rushing with 3td's.

Well, well, well

Nice work Henderson!

Very nice win. Thought it might be closer.

Bush league hit by a Henderson player about 4 seconds after whistle was blown.

Carter just 255 away from 4,000.

I am not shocked that Henderson won the game by any means but i am a little disappointed in Daviess County. This was a prime chance to put themselves in position to win a couple of playoff games but now, its going to be tough. I figured Carter would get his but i thought the Panthers would score more than 14 points. Henderson has been battle tested this season and they continue to get better as the season rolls along. This seems like a situation of a program that expects to win these kinds of games(Henderson) vs a team that is still trying to learn to win these kinds of games(Daviess). Reminds me a lot of the UK/Auburn matchup from Thursday.

All in all was a really well played game by Henderson. I agree with the statement that Henderson expected to win this game. Daviess Co. is just usually a team that doesn't fare well against Henderson Co. I really thought if they were finally going to beat the Colonels this would be the year with them being relatively good compared to their standard and Henderson being relatively down this year. To me it really shows that wins and losses can be deceiving. Daviess did have the big win over O'cath and they deserve a lot of credit for that, but while they were playing non district cupcakes like Hancock Co. & Warren East. Henderson was preparing themselves to peak for district games by playing the gauntlet of Reitz, Caldwell, Gibson Southern, & Christain Co.

Was Henderson going out of the spread and pounding it with a lot of Inside & Outside Zone or did they go back to some of their SBV stuff ? Good to see them take the #2 seed.

Went to the power I!! Used a couple big lineman as extra blocker for carter and let the big boys run a few 3 yards and cloud of dirt. All scoring drives for cols were 12 or more plays.
