Johnny Manziel in the news for the wrong reasons again

Featured Replies

Wasn't he just in rehab before the season?

It didn't take apparently

This guy is simply not worth the bother. Why don't the Browns just cut him and get it over with? As a Bengals fan, I do enjoy watching the Browns keep screwing up the whole "Johnny Football" thing...

The GF threw his wallet out the window, the most likely reason she was hanging out with him to start with.

Looks like this is becoming a bigger deal. Was a lead story for many of the local 5pm news shows.

Amazing to continue to think that the Browns passed over Derek Carr and Teddy Bridgewater for this mess.

That's why they're the Browns.... Loveable and lose able Browns.

While I don't think Manziel will ever be a good quarterback in the NFL and as much as I hate his attitude and basically everything he represents, this is not a story at all. He was not intoxicated when they got pulled over and the only reason they got pulled over was because his girlfriend was intoxicated and threw his wallet out the window. The officers believed Johnny in this case. So will I.

Was he drinking? I know he was not intoxicated but a guy coming out of alcohol rehab should not be drinking AT ALL, right? Also, did he slam her face in the window? I think there is definitely a story here, not sure a big one though.

It is funny that most QB's in the NFL are able to avoid these kinds of situations...Colin Cowherd is right - I don't want a guy with issues like JF trying to lead my football team at all...even if he could play.

Really not fair to Manziel when he got drafted. Most experts rated him as a sixth round talent, and he get drafted late first round. He does not possess the mental or physical skills to be a successful QB in the NFL. Sooner or later the Browns are going to have to face reality and let him go. He is becoming a bigger distraction than a help for his team. Not saying he did anything wrong this time, but just too much baggage.

He did go to rehab in the spring but did not disclose what it was for, although most believed alcohol and prescription pain med's. Could have been for gambling, sex, shopping, no one really knows.

BTW, if any NFL exec didn't see this coming, they had to be crazy, under the influence or a failure at their profession.

From what I have read, it sounds like this woman had a little to much to drink and put manziel in a bad spot. They said the only markings on her body from anything physical is when manziel grabbed her arm after she tried to jump out of a movie vehicle after she threw his wallet out of the window. This lines up with both of their stories according to the police.
