October 14, 201510 yr A poster on a message board posted Saturday during the game that Grier had been busted and would be suspended. Every team his moles. Usually they are GA's.
October 17, 201510 yr Florida trying to win appeal that would make WG eligible to start next season, which would not be a full calendar year. Should be interesting. If he has to sit til next October, would that mean no Spring/Summer team participation? Will he be allowed to practice with the team during suspension? While suspended he can practice, attend meetings... do everything but travel with the team and play.
October 17, 201510 yr From everything I have been seeing he was taking an OTC supplement and it contained something in it that is banned by the NCAA. That is why Florida is trying to appeal the year long suspension to just this season. Still hurts. I definitely don't think Treon Harris is a slouch of a QB by any means so writing off the Gators at this point is silly, especially with them already beating UK and Georgia losing their offense in Nick Chubbs. While Harris doesn't throw the ball as well as Grier, he is a better athlete and will be able to make plays. I believe he also throws a much better deep ball than Grier.
October 17, 201510 yr I was not impressed with what I have seen from Grier. I heard all the hype out of high school, and I thought it was overhype after I saw him against Kentucky. Florida might have just gotten better.
December 19, 201510 yr Transferring. Word is UF forced the issue. Edited December 20, 201510 yr by Clyde
December 20, 201510 yr Just had two QBs enroll early. Felipe Frank's a 6-5, 4star QB flip from LSU being the big recruit. They also have Del Rios son available to play next year after he transferred this past season. I do not see anyway that Treon Harris stays the QB.
December 21, 201510 yr I have read conflicting reports on how the 6-game suspension is handled. I have read he will sit out one year PLUS 6 games and I have read the 6 games can be served during the transfer year. Seems odd if that's the case.

I have read he will sit out one year PLUS 6 games and I have read the 6 games can be served during the transfer year. Seems odd if that's the case. Seems to me that the two are separate issues. He has to sit out a year if he goes D1 to D1, then the suspension would be served post transfer after sitting a year. I'm sure Grier would love to wrap them together, but can't see how the NCAA can impose a suspension during his dark period. Just my 2 pennies.
