If Highlands wins, its because CCH won't let themselves win. They were more than capable of beating them last year. But they got ahead of themselves each game. They were so convinced that they were better than Highlands last year. I even told the QB (Waggs) last year in class that we were in a different league from them and he fully agreed. Judging by the scores and ranks, this seemed true. CCH beat CC 42-14. Highlands beat CC 28-13. CCH beat Dixie 41-7. Highlands beat Bryan Station 47-41. But that proved to be wishful thinking. Stats don't mean everything. CCH got way too ahead of themselves and we left an utter funeral. I left with my brother and friends being mocked by drunk HHS fans (we just laughed). It would be no different for Highlands if CCH wins. Because the Colonel Crazies have a knack for being very arrogant. But I was reminded that you can't judge teams only by rank and stats. And as obvious as it is, you cant underestimate any team.

Heck no. What I'm saying is that they are more than capable of beating Highlands this year, as they were last year. Highlands obviously proved to play better last year against CovCath. But skill and talent is a very relative factor and is hard to calculate.

Highlands had the mental advantage and the offensive advantage. Judging by the scores, Highlands was the better team. But that doesn't mean CCH didn't have the talent and capability to beat them. They were both great teams IMO. I'm not trying to say "Highlands only won because we weren't at our best and we were better." Etc. All I said was that CCH was fully capable of winning, but we wouldn't let ourselves win.

I would say because Highlands hasn't lost this many/this bad in any of the last so many years.

 

That was my only reasoning as well. Highlands is always on the up and haven't remembered them losing to the local teams.

Highlands was competitive with Ryle and Cooper both. The score of the games were not an indication of how the games were played. This game will be decided by how the offense of each team plays IMO.

 

We(Ryle) played them both and I am sticking to my original call weeks ago. I think CCH is better and will win this game. They are more physical and it appears that they have replaced their RB and are becoming more mature and balanced with the weapons that they have. Highlands may be able to attack the CCH DB's but I am not sure that the QB for Highlands is accurate enough to exploit them. Not knocking their kids, just don't think that they are as athletic as some of the CCH players. Also, Highlands did not really compete too well against either Ryle or Cooper. Both of those teams are much, much better.

Was the game not tied at half against Ryle? With a fumble by the Birds going into the endzone late in the 2nd qt? You must not have been to the game. Score at half could have been 24-17 Birds instead of it being tied. To say they "Did not really compete" is a joke an shows you must really not know football. I will know not to take your post serious at all no more!
