Your team's all-time team?

Featured Replies

List the roster of your team's ALL-TIME team. You have every player that ever played at the school from their senior year to choose from. start players regardless of stats and college/nfl career, who you would put in with the season on the line. players can start at alt positions than they played. players can't start both ways. You can also mix up DL/LB/DB ratios if needed.

This is my Highlands format example:

QB1: J Lorenzen (98) QB2: Guidugli (00)

RB1: J Frisk (96) RB2: J Burt (62) RB3: R Hoffman (69)

WR1: B Hamblen (00) WR2: R Stegman (97) WR3: D McAtee (58)

TE: D Smith (98)

T: R Smith (01) T: Z Reynolds (88)

G: S Kuhnhein (97) G: C Kyle (65)

C: J Schlarman (92)

DL: G Oetjen (69) DL: P Schear (97) DL: B Steinhauser (61)

ILB: M Moore (89) ILB: B Grover (00)

OLB: M McGraw (62) OLB: B Roller (09)

CB: A Collinsworth (09) CB: T Racke (69)

FS: J Kremer (81) SS: M Mitchell (04)

K: A Weinel (10) P: C Fennell (65)

PR: A Collinsworth (09) KR: B Hamblen (00) *Kick Returners must be from starters.

HC: D Mueller AsC: H Rice

There is a good chance I got a few years wrong.... Id like to hear reasons for putting someone else in. would also like to see other teams all-time roster. I'll feel like a tool if no one else does their team so please fill one out, trust me it will be fun. If someone doesn't do a cov cath one Ill tool it up again do one myself. artie steinmetz and jeremey madden would be locks.

It's nice to see you know your history. A lot of regular posters only know their teams most recent history and assume they have to be the best.

Yeah that's why I wanted to start this thread. Id like to see SK's, Ryle's, Cov Caths Trinity's, Belfry's etc ..."all time" teams made by the die hard fans. See other history. Thought it would be cool to look through.

I will bite on the HHS team. Any all time Highlands team that does not include Dave Fischer on the DL and John Bankemper in the backfield is not an all time Highlands team. Jeff Kremer was class of 1983 and I will argue your choice of kicker as well. Current kicker and Drew Bathiany are/were better IMO, plus they were/are not just kickers.

Good Call on Fischer (81?), I guess id put him over oetjen... I def concede on that one. The stories ive heard about Jim Burt I feel outshined Bankemper stories... didn't see either. I saw Justin Frisk play and played with him.... ive never seen anyone run the ball better at a h.s. level. He doesn't have any hhs records but that's because he only played like 2 quarters a game. RB is tricky cause there is so many greats... Hank Pogue (69?) and ? Kramer (05?) also came to mind. I think Hoffman has many records along with Kramer. Daughtey probably could be the kicker. I thought id get more push back on QB.

and again.. not trying to offend anyone... im not 60 years old so there are a lot of players I havnt seen I wanted to hear why someone else should be here or there. so thanks!

uk#1fan, did Ponzer play around 2004-2008? Is so, that kid was pretty good and pretty tough especially for his size.

Heard a funny discussion at a bar the other night between a few former Bethlehem QBs as to who was the best in school history. Having only seen a small portion of the school's FB history, I wasn't really qualified to weigh in beyond laughing at the banter betwixt them.

Highlands 59-61 Teams were quarterbacked by Roger Walz and he was flat out amazing all three years. The running backs in that same period were both Burt's, Jim and John who were both all time candidates. Wide receivers Jim Biltz and Bill Bradley who both played at lonesome end as sophomores in 61 should also garner some votes. Homer Rice laid the groundwork for all of the success since the mid 50's.

How many WR's do you have on an all time team?
